Problem with water in new(ish) system

I built a new trailer a couple of months back and I'm having trouble with the water not coming through pure for the first few minutes each day.

So I fill the tank and the water is definitely at 000 but first house of the day every day, the water looks a bit frothy, with little bubbles running down the glass. I've tested that water and it's usually at 003. I've tried just using it as it is on my own windows and it does leave specks so it's a bit annoying that I waste time every morning just pumping out water.

It runs clear after about 3-4 minutes and is then back to 000 for the rest of the day.

I'm guessing it's to do with the water that has been sitting overnight in the pump or hose, but I'm surprised that a couple of months on its still doing it.

All the components of the setup were brand new, if that makes a difference.

Any ideas?

are you using a metal hose reel?with metal connectors inside the reel?water sitting in the reel,rust etc

No, there's one metal fitting, the brass one where the water goes into the hose reel, everything else is plastic

Is the ro on the trailer and it runs through the ro as you use it? or is it out of the tank to the pole and that's it?

Because RO will always be a touch high on ppm to start with.

if that's not the case the only thing I could suggest is running a small DI vessel between tank and pole, as for the reason if not the RO, no idea /emoticons/sad.png

Are the specks you describe visible when the windows have dried or when they are still wet?

Reason I ask is that I have experienced something similar. Only it appears to only be there when the windows are wet. When dry the windows are perfect. Seems in my case the 'specks' resembling small bits of grit are actually minute bubbles that form in the water left in the hose overnight. The longer that the hose is left the worse it appears, but it always dries fine. Worried me a bit at first.

I don't use RO as I live in a soft water area. The water in the tank is definitely pure, so shouldn't really need another DI.

I'll do my windows with it again to check tomorrow, it was a while ago that I did that and I can't remember clearly exactly how it dried. It does look like bubbles, but would bubbles make the tds go up?

I don't think bubbles do but the water being in the hose for a while might. However, I've never had water with a tds of 003 leave marks when it dried. I've even used water with a tds of 036 and seen no discernible marks. I don't recommend it. I just failed to check one day and something had gone wrong and I didn't pick up on it till I'd used it. I cleaned my own windows with it to satisfy myself I hadn't made a mess of my customers windows. I also had no complaints from those customers whose windows I'd cleaned with it.

I have cleaned with water as high as around 020 before, not a customer my own and it dried perfect.

Dont know if this would happen, but can pure water, strip/ breakdown the material of the inside of the hose, thus contaminating the water, until its flushed through?
