Been getting water for gratis from a friends factory (in exchange for beer and a clean of the unit windows). I was recently concerned about some spotting but now I've bought this tester I can confirm any spotting is due to operator error.View attachment 7639

Where do you think you've been going wrong?
I'm a bit puzzled....my own windows come up perfect and I give them a once over every six weeks....maybe not rinsing the frames enough....maybe old soap residue although I'm not convinced this causes problems as I alternate between trad and WFP at home with no problems.

I find if the windows are hydrophobic, there is a higher chance of spotting, even when you rinse several times. Some windows seem more prone to spotting. I got asked to price a job the other day by someone that uses a window cleaner that uses hot water, windows had spotting, frames were not that clean and seemingly just been cleaned. They have already got rid of him, so in a bit of a awkward position with it, I already do their business. I will probably put the price up and do it trad, as its a bungalow.

Can't beat a bit of trad /emoticons/biggrin.png

I will remember the windows that give me aggro...if I can't get them to dry spotless I will just trad those few that cause problems...I'm still tradding virtually all the ground floor still as the time saving is minimal (given that I have to collect my water) and most customers don't give me earache about "why have you not dried my windows"? By the time they see the upstairs glass they're all usually dry.

Don't trad them. Blade them off. You will find they will come right after a couple of cleans as 99% do. Trad them and you will chase your tail forever with them.
