How much?

I'd have gone 30-50 a side depending what it is I.e in and out or just out, and how much **** is in it. I'd probably go in at 80 all round + cost of doing windows as they usually get some **** on them

I would factor on 2 hours but reckon it would be less.

So would price to that really.

It's a tricky one is pricing as there's the absolute minimum in your head you would do it for and a price you would really like. Depends how busy you are as well. I would play it safe and say 60 all in working on 30 an hour. I would like to say 100 and woyld be very happy at that price but then do you kick yourself if they refuse?

For gutters I simply charge per foot or metre whichever you think makes it sound cheaper to the client.

If its higher the a 2 storey house (higher risk, higher working conditions, bigger ladders etc) then simply multiply it by an additional %

I'd already quoted exactly that clisty and just got an e mail back and got the job

If that works for you - fair enough but ... I don't get how you can charge by foot / metre

A gutter can be rammed full or clear for most of the length

So you would charge the same price to two neighbours when one could take 4 times longer ?

Well I can't see how there is any other way.

If I estimate that there's about 80ft of gutter I charge them £80.

Short of getting up there and looking at each gutter run & viewing the volume of debris to price it individually I can't see how else to price it.

The only time I've had the gutters blocked just in a few places is if the gutter has been poorly fitted- uneven fall, or if trees are overhanging the house.

If once I done the job and found that the muck was only at certain points such as angled joints etc, and found the job only took half an hour then I'd probably reduce the price and explain.

Its easier to reduce the price rather then underestimate the job and THEN try and explain the price increase to the client.

I Charge by the length, what I do is I go up the ladder when I price it up to see how bad it is, takes me 2 mins. Got 2 jobs tomorrow, joined to each other ones full, with grass growing out top and black with dirt on the outside the other literally needs a quick wipe down and has about half a bucket in it. Charging £60 & £40 respectively, I'll try and remember to put pics up

I agree. I quote most of my jobs blind ovet the phone so it makes sense to have a set price in that regard.

The only way to price it properly would be to inspect which is fine I'd you're already there but if it's a half hour drive away you've wasted an hour and fuel before you even get the job.
