I already do several commercial clients every week - including costa coffee, a casino, a high street shoe shop, a restaurant and others - but now I want to get some big players like the high street banks, wetherspoons, fast food places and maybe some office blocks.

I've already been in and spoken with these big chain retailers and they pretty much all say that i need to get hold of head office and apply to them, so thats what I've started doing. I've been emailing them with a pitch I've created.

Has anyone on here got experience with securing these types of clients? If so do you have any advice?

I know that most will already have window cleaners but at least if I make them aware of my details, then maybe when they need to switch they'll call me up.

As green pro said nearly all big high street chains are national.

The people in the shop haven't got a clue who cleans them and they have no say who does it.

Take topshop for example it's part of the Arcadia group made up of several shops like Dorothy Perkins, miss selfridege, topshop etc one or two companies take every one in the country adding up to 1000s of shops these are then normally subbed out.

Independent offices ,pubs and shops make the choice them selfs but a lot of this work is already sewn up.

I no when I had the chance of doing KFC it came under an area , so my area on offer consisted of 3 shops. I didn't take them on as they where wanting 2 outside cleans and an inside clean a week for £25. **** that . And some mug actually took them on at £23 a week plus a free meal

It was Ards, and Bangor and Ballyhackamore was to be included in it. My granda was offered or did clean them years ago also
