What a Day!!! Referendum result proof of an Awakening happening

Not sure if I want a failed businessman in charge of the country. Also, as already said he's not an MP (despite trying & failing SEVEN times)
At least he's had a job other than politics. And if you look at the back stories of most super successful business men, then you'll find most have failed numerous times. He's not an MP down to corruption and brainwashing from the left wing media, this could one day change.

He's not an MP because he's unelectable. Can't wait to see the reaction of the public when they realised they've been lied to about £350 million to nhs and immigration!

Did you see it on good morning Britain? They went apeshit when he let that slip, I'll try find the link

You would have to be a dumbass to think that all that money would go on the nhs, or that immigration would completely stop. None of it is that easy.

I agree......

And yet.... That's what the leave campaign were peddling.

They never said immigration would stop exactly, but they said it would be drastically reduced....

Anyway, the leave campaign has nothing to do with how the country can now be run. The leave campaign isn't holding the purse strings.

Really????

If you make the statement "we send the EU £35 million per week - let's fund our NHS instead" what do you honestly imagine the thinking they are projecting to the public???

Especially if its one of the main pillars of the leave campaign.

Is this country so perfect that we would put all 350million a week of that money into the nhs? Surely we need some of it elsewhere. If people feel fooled by that, then they are fools.

I wish we could have a politics forum where we can say what we think without the risk of being told off by Gav or GreenI love a good political argument but not allowed it seems lol
You can always say what you think @daveyboy nobody has ever stopped people on the forum doing that. It is only when it becomes personal attacks on others, downright rude or totally irrrelevant that YOU get told to stop being a t**t!

The censorship here is kept to a minimum but it still exists with good reason. Yesterday I was at a seminar all day with some industry leaders and raised questions that other members had asked here on the forum. At lunch they asked if the forum was CIU and when I asked why thy gave their honest opinions of the CIU forum and it's users. Not pleasant.

The aim is to make this a nice place for all to discuss anything and everything but to do so in a respectful fashion to other users not to just see whom can shout loudest.

Lastly @daveyboy, when have we ever intereferred in a 'healthy debate'?

Of course arguments get shut down as they are totally pointless but good debate is always welcome.

(And no, you have not just been told off, you have simply had a statement of facts presented to you)

That's the problem..i can't say what i want without being rude when it comes to politics lol as it frustrates me when some people just don't get it (I'd had a few beers last night which doesn't help)

That's why people say you should never talk religion or politics

Exactly @TolishAPurd

It was a campaign to show the benefits of leaving europe

How the country is actually run is down to whoever is in number 10 at the time we actually leave

Farage isn't in charge he was just campaigning for what he believes in

@daveyboy I totally agree with you. It makes me so frustrated too when people support staying in their prison cells and ever fight to defend it - as we've seen with the Remain campaigners.

It all stems from a lack of understanding of what the EU really is, how it was created and by whom and where it is intended to lead us. Remain people also suffer from a chronic case of fear overload in my view as you hear them say 'it is so unfair to make us leave' - wow - no words necessary or possible. Look at how these people have signed an online petition for another referendum because they say it was so close, yet if it went the other way and Remain won by a narrow margin, it would be end of discussion, shut up shop, we are in, end of story. It is sickening to watch.

@Spartan You seem to critique what everybody says in a mocking way, like as if you know better than everybody. I'd love you to boarden your horizons and read some challenging books. I pray that one day you will brother.

Um, I'm still not seeing where it says all the money will go on the nhs.
I'll give you a clue. It's on the big red bus above your original post.

Even farage admits it was a mistake.

This works both ways. I had to be stopped from attacking one of my best mates in the pub last night because of his poxy attitude. Now I voted out just to be clear on this, but just before the vote he had put on facebook and shouting his mouth off that anyone who votes in is a traitor and scum!!

This angered me as my wife and several mates who work in the city had voted in and had explained their reasons to me why, which I understood.

Also, him banging on like several other out voters that the soldiers died in the world wars to stop Europe taking over. They died (including my grandad) to stop us being taking over by a fascist nutjob and to give us freedom. Freedom to vote on things like a referendum!!!

The point im making is there are ignorant out voters as well as in voters. Still wound up with him, and my wife rarely swears, but she has just shown me the text she's sent him .

Yes it does work both ways and i respect anyones vote

The problem i have is people who vote without knowing the full facts and then moan if it doesn't go their way

If you understand the ins and outs of it all and then still decide to vote 1 way or another then that is an honest vote for what you personally believe

It makes me so frustrated too when people support staying in their prison cells and ever fight to defend it - as we've seen with the Remain campaigners.
Im personally not belonging to the remain camp... (just so you know my standing isn't from a biased position)

not at all, i dont mock everyone.

i sincerely think you reserve the right to believe whatever you wish (insert any theory or idea here such as: Elvis is alive, no moon landing, flat earth believer, 9/11 conspiracies, NWO conspiracies etc etc) and i'd fight to the death for you to have that right

...... as long as i reserve the right to mock (to some degree) any idea/theory that has zero emperical evidence.

Everyone has the right to express and state any opinion they like, that is what our ancestors fought for, I am sure they did not give a stuff weather it's called a Marathon or a Snickers.

As you can see @daveyboy this is turning from political discussion to a soon to be slaging match.

Those that voted out are not wrong, those that voted in are not wrong, before we can truly move forward and unite the people in a common good we first need to have a tolerant understanding of those whose opinions differ from our own.

Any fool can sit there and say 'Shut up you mug, you don't know the facts, hence you're wrong and have no right to speak let alone vote you t**t!' It takes a much stronger person to sit there and listen to ones opposition with an open mind and say 'You're absolutely right with what you're saying, let's look at this on a point by point basis' and then calmly offer an alternative to each point that will open the mind of ones opponent to a possible different (not always better) alternative and perhaps alter their way of thinking.

@steve garwood, your mate needs a slap. My mate called his business partner a c*** for voting in and now wonders why his business partner is upset with him! I can't even enter an explanation for him as I feel the need to slap him also.

@daveyboy, thanks once again for offending me personally, I do not know all the facts, I, in fact know very few of the facts, my entire vote was based on on fact alone. What we are doing is not working so hence it is time to do something else! Oh and the facts that I am old enough, mentally competent enough and registered to vote. You do not ALWAYS need all the facts, and there is no one person in this country that knows ALL the facts, all you need is a reason that suits your desires and motives. My daughter on the other hand whom is a lot better educated and informed than I and actually works in global politics voted to stay in. No we have not disowned each other.

It is the same as those that quote the bible, they only ever quote passage that suits their need at the time. When being angry and ranting and raving at someone whos wronged them you never hear 'Let he without sin cast the first stone' do you.

Any how, keep it on subject please lads, not personal attacks.

P.S.
