Lost 2 Customers Today On The Same Road :(

I went to do a first clean... a women arranged me to do it in 4 weeks time.... so iturned up she goes oh my husbands got a window cleaner now ! i was like okay....

and round the corner... i was about 2 do a 2nd clean... and on the door a women sellotaped a notice on to her door with my previous invoice saying.... we do not require your service no more sorry thankyou.

I was like /emoticons/wacko.png i must be getting undercut around that area or something?

Hmmm just got to to replace them, i was going to go canvassing but its raining ! I got 89 customers left now !

Big H find out why. If I lose one I always try to find out why. It plays on my mind. Touchwood haven't lost one yet through bad cleaning.

Tend to agree with that H, if it was spotting or something ya could have done it again or at least take a good look at the windows and see if ya can spot why it happened. Might just have been why they said but ya never know.

And theirs always that 1 or 2 customers who will dump u after 1 clean ! lol

lol that wasn't the point H, you don't see the end result and from what I've learned there are windows out there that can be problem but easy sorted. If you are making mistakes and don't figure that out H you could lose more. Whats the point keep busting ya gut replacing customers you could have kept, just like any service H it's as much about keeping your customers happy as it is getting more and more.

Excellent advise & good sense. I'm not for one minute suggesting your doing somet wrong but it may be that. If it is you can learn from it. When I first starting using my backpack I told all my custies who I was using it on that I'm just learning this & if there's any problems tex or ring me. That way I would know what I'm doing wrong and learn from it.

And the other customer i lost... i had never cleaned her windows anyway.... i know they got taken by another window cleaner... because in that area theirs a man who does water fed pole for half the price as me !

He charges £4.00 for a 7/8 pound house !

I know i got undercutted its obvious.... its funny how a women says she got another window cleaner and then around the corner i got dumped for the first time..... lol

adoubt it never seen him in that area but that fella does do the houses really cheap ! some cleaners are on the same prie range as me... and some others are really expensive ! am just about right /emoticons/tongue.png

Fair do's then H it does sound like it when ya put it like that but I remember saying I don't leave it that long for first cleans either, don't canvass an area ya not prepared to clean in the near future. I'm not sure canvassing an area that you won't clean for another month is such a good idea but thats just my opinion.
