Excelerator UK/US 'Collab'

For a minute there I thought we were going to watch that guy clean all of that garage.

I can't see this being good for residential work. Shop work yes.

I've been using one for nearly a month now. With pad mounted top or bottom commercial is excellent although I'd prefer the 18 for that. Fine for most of our domestic over here but if I get a run of smaller glass I strip pad off and use it bare with a scrubber (the pad is a touch heavy for prolonged in hand use) and in this config absolutely sings. I really like it.

Is it much different to use than a wagtail?

Different to use? Not really, if you are used to using a Wagtail you'll pick up on this one quickly. It's certainly more refined, very comfortable grip, the pivot is quick, direct and very very smooth. Advantages are the ability to change channels quickly and the built in angle change (10,25 or 40°) is really convenient. I personally don't use the lock function, but it's there for those that would like that convenience. The system to connect pad to channel is excellent and really secure. I like it better than any of my Wags, either standard or modded. It's a very good squeegee.

Does the rubber skip/twist at all Eric like in the liquidator does sometimes on the turns?

New clips are a touch more forgiving and do hold most rubbers more snugly. I still think a little bit of retention in the form of Polz paper clip or Hermans zip tie pieces is beneficial but they're so damn fiddly to fit and refit that I tend to 'forget' after turning or changing the rubber :). Light touch, lots of water and slip and as efficient a stroke as possible? Not too many issues at all.

Yeah I can't be bothered with those zip ties, did it for a couple of days and thought sod this. I think the 10° will be good for closing out.

:) Haven't used any of my Wags in the last fortnight ... The Excelerator is just so darned smooth in hand. A couple of little niggles to sort out prior to final run and a secondary light pad for in hand use? Possibly the only swivel squeegee I'll need. Trouble is? What will I do with all this spare time I'm going to have not having to 'fiddle'? ...

sounds like moerman have a winning squeegee here looking forward along with a lot of others to seeing the end product in shops.

And of course the mrs. will always find something to fill the spare time as only they know how to  unless your single in which case

Wishful thinking Keefo /emoticons/smile.png. Although check out this link. Karl has taken Herman's mod of a few years ago and made a 12" one for himself.

I am still waiting for moerman to send mine to test

Didn't realise you could buy these for the current liquidator channel.
