Hi tench

The Super-Max47 Compact is now known as the SLX47 - almost the same size, just newer section type and clamps.

To change it into a 35ft pole you have two options.

1. Remove the bottom 3 sections to leave you with 7 sections - fit a #7 end cap. The one downside to this is that the handle section will not be insulated.

2. Remove the bottom 4 sections and fit a #7 handle sections (from an SLX35) and this will convert it into a full spec SLX35

also @Alex Gardiner is the new super max 50 liter and more ridged than a super max 47ft compact ?
The Super-Max50 is more rigid than the SMAX47 and is one section smaller to hold and is about 40g lighter when both poles are new (older poles are always lighter as they wear with use which reduces weight, sometimes by up to 15%) - Pole Specifications - Water-Fed Poles - All Products Gardiner Pole Systems

thanks alex ill buy the 50ft and get a insulated section i think for safty thanks for the quick reply /emoticons/smile.png

@Alex Gardiner lol insulated base section.. Duck tape sort that lol if u get a shock itl wake the operator up lol
All joking apart /emoticons/smile.png - wrapping electrical insulating tape (not duck tape) carefully around the section would work well. However what it would not allow you to do is to slide the larger sections back on when needed for higher work /emoticons/wink.png

However if Tench is getting a new 50ft for higher work and will not need to add sections to the 35ft pole at any time them simply choose option 1 and use insulating tape - saves some pennies /emoticons/smile.png
