I go to the pub on Tuesdays to meet my friends and play in the poker league ,a friend of mine last week turns to me and says hes going to need my help soon with cleaning some windows

oh really I say thinking mmmm might be a nice little job

some of my friends are plasterers and carpenters and one or two have been on the job with him at this place .its a motorbike wherehouse???? whatever you want to call it ,they build the motorbike and ship it off to wherever .

he says theyve nearly finished and they'll have to clean the glass afterwards but hes going to pass that on to me

theyve just replaced 80,000 POUNDS worth of glass ,some are 60ft high <so he says > and it might take me 6 months .this I what he tells me .

1.I believe the 80,000pounds worth of glass

2.some people exaggerate height im hoping there not 60ft <only just got a 35ft pole >

3.i don't think itll take 6 months ,hes not a window cleaning so wouldn't know how long it takes .

4.proper shitting it if I get it lol

hes taking me down there soon to have a look and quote .if its as big as I think its going to be I'm worried ill under quote ......price wrong/how long itll take ..... if I get it itll be by far the biggist thing iv done .when I do go I'm going to take pics and ask advise on here .......

one thing Ive learned from commercial, over price it, usual your competition are larger/national companys that charge a bloody fortune!

You would be surprised how cheap some people go to get commercial some companys are doing jobs at really low prices.

£80k in cost for glass may not be as daunting as you think.some of the shops I clean a pain of glass can be anything above £1200.

If it is 60ft you could sub out the high level stuff while you concentrate on the lower levels.

Good luck with it.

I find i can't compete with commercial companies that are national. They just clean for peanuts.

Not even looking for commercial work and had 3 in today. Quoted two and got them both, so happy with that.

If you need a hand let me know, sounds like a weeks work for me /emoticons/wink.png
