Hi all. Long time reader first time poster!! I'm branching in to the complicated world of wfp at last. This is a part time business for me but I'm fully insured and above board with everything. I've only got a small round but it's a profitable one considering it's only part time. I do about 25 houses a week using trad but hoping for more if I go wfp. I'm still in full time employment but it's shift work so have time for this too. I already have a van a berlingo but I'm reluctant to go van mounted as it is a big initial investment but I'm well able to build a trolley as I'm actually a sparks by trade. My trouble is im still confused about making pure water. What is easiest way for starting out and considering it is small scale.

Thanks in advance

As has been suggested before there are lots posts on this subject:thumbsup: but just to get you going, get a decent tds meter not from eBay:eek: from a good retailer to find out what you are tds is then you will know whether to go down the di or the Ro route.

Thanks for the reply. Should have asked a few more questions!! Although I've no problem building or wiring trolley I'm a bit confused as to what hose and all connections I need. As in from drum to pump and pump to hose. If I'm fitting a reel with microbore what connections do I need to get me ready to start using straight away. Does it depend on which pole/brush I get?

A 300 R.O. system, 1 or 2 x 10 inch D.I.vessels, Bag of Resin for D.I. vessels. 1x TDS Metre. Some hose pipe. Then it all depends where your water outlet will be coming from, You will need a large Water container, 220 litre water butt or bigger for your Pure Water storage coming from your R.O. System.

Backpack or 250 litre water tank in van. Easy to take out if needed.

Untill you can produce your Pure Water theres nothing else you can do. You may have someone local selling pure water, just google your area., there maybe a local windy who is not threatened by a newbie he may help you out with advice.

Hiyya, I'm a lurker rather than a poster, but I can't resist putting my tuppence worth in here. Harvest your rainwater. It will save you having to buy an RO unit to begin with. Mine comes off the roof at between 006 and 008 - lower readings when the rain is heavier. I use it as is and never get any spots. (I'll probably get absolutely caned for that statement!)

For a part-timer, it's the easiest and cheapest way to go.

Good luck.
