Help on merlin ro

Help Support WCF:

@spruce

Thanks for that

I can see that now

It was a learning curve.

I don't need to make that much as I'm still trad so my 200gpd will be fine.

Just as a question could I upgrade my 200 one into say a 300gpd.

I only need about about 300 litres a week.

Only bought the merlin as it was going cheap

Basically I didn't do my homework

Hi @Posh

Yes you can. If you have the RoMan type r/o you can add another r/o housing, change the membranes to 150GPD, a couple of John Guest fittings, some 1/4" tubing in colours to your system and you have a cheap upgrade to 450GPD. If you just do an upgrade using a 100GPD you must remember that the first 2 (old ones) will fail first, but you will then replace all 3 to get back on track. The housing aren't expensive.

@doug atkinson will be able to help you. You may have to replace your waste restrictor for one that is suitable for 150GPD membranes. If you use a valve valve then a restrictor won't be necessary.

But I would try the Merlin direct to the tap (remove inline booster) and see what happens before I did any upgrade tbh.

Just put everything on Ebay you don't need.

with the Merlin it works on a 2-1 ratio 2 waste 1 pure, put a 3/8 tap on the waste pipe and set it to make a ratio of 1-1,
