Just listened to a voice message . Really stroppy customer . I have just found your note suspending our cleaning until the account is paid. I work so never see you . I will pay online tomorrow and expect to receive a smaller bill next month .

Really hate rudeness for its own sake . She always pays late its not a problem she pays . But the rudeness niggles . If she had paid the last two cards posted the bill wouldn't be so high. Don't want to lose her as it's a very easy £20. Well 40 every other when she pays.

 
Swallow the pride. You dont have to see her so let the niggle go.

I have often found instead of sentances such as 'we are suspending service till payment is received'

A line more like 'I notice that September and Octobers cleans have still to be paid, I do appreciate your promt attention to this matter. '

Your telling them to pay the bill, but politely.

Never told a custy they are suspended. Just suspended them till they call up and ask when I'm due. If on the phone I just say 'Oh i'm sorry, i did send a couple of reminders but the last two cleans are still unpaid'

A bit of humble pie often gets the result you want. Dont matter what you think of them just dont tell.

In my early days I gave a puter some 'what for' over 2 months money, at the time £16.00 by the following month I had lost 3 more custys on that road and her sons house. Happy custys tell their friends. Unhappy custies tell everyone.

If she really is a Mrs P.I. Staker then go for it and rip her one as people will know how she is anyway however sometimes things are simply overlooked

 
Personally I never tell them they are binned, before the debt is collected. Guessing that if I do it before the money is payed,they are more likely to not pay at all ,as our business is already concluded and they're never gonna see me again. Rudeness can definitely make me bin a customer,that's why I'm self employed, so I don't have to take s... From a costumer because " my boss says so ! " I don't treat service personnel or other rude, and don't tolerate it in my business either.

Its easier to read a text or letter the wrong way, you cant express what you mean properly so its better to try to put it in a way that is clear.

I would have just put a note through requesting money or sending a reminder text then dont do them till you get paid. Once paid do them again they will soon get the idea that if they dont pay they dont get cleaned and when they pay they get cleaned!

 
I can't help myself sometimes

I would get her to pay then say your bill will be smaller next month as i ain't cleaning your windows

Use the time spent cleaning her windows to leaflet and get a better paid customer
