Right, I've just stopped workkng to write this on the job.

I've had three people now had various jobs saying scratches have appeared on their windows. I know exactly what they're talking about as I've seen them on other jobs that I do.

How do I prevent this from happening??

I use these Unger brushes. Any suggestions??

It's an okay brush ( a little heavy to my taste ) anyway I've used this brush 10 yrs ago , no problems there, could it be the brush had been put on the ground and then collected some dirt ? I've seen guys use the side of the brush to rid of stubborn marks, that's of course dangerous too. Other than that . Are you sure these scratches weren't already there ?

Never ever lean the brush against a wall or on the floor as it will pick up grit or a stone and then you WILL scratch the glass, other wise impossible I would say more chance of us chipping the cement around the reveals with the edge of the brush

Put your brush in a bucket of pure overnight , see what's in the bucket next morning, you'll be surprised how they hold onto dirt.

Are they old houses or relative new builds (no more than 10 years old )

Many of the newer builds with wodden window frames seem to come 'pre scratched' The builders dont give a toss and throw them up.

Even if you have grit on the brush you will have to push very hard indeed to scratch the glass unless you dropped it in a pile of diamond chippings without noticing.

Well, one I've noticed more scratching with time. I'm pretty sure it's from the brush somehow.
