Is anyone else apart of this organisation. Seems pretty good. Here are some of the member benefits.

  • Promotion of your membership with Housing Associations, Healthcare, Councils, Facility Management and other businesses sub-contracting their window cleaning duties.
  • A prominent company listing on the Guild web site where you can easily be found by potential customers and is promoted using Google Adwords and Bing/Yahoo Adwords.
  • Consistent promotion of MGWC members through Social Media, Cleaning Magazines, related websites and forums.
  • The ability to setup an exclusive on-line “Deal” (You can even include a bar-code or QR code!) via your user account to attract new customers, shown on a Google/Bing/Yahoo promoted page “uk window cleaner Deals
  • Access UK Tender Contracts as they become available

Richard also sells a book called winning at window cleaning.

Unnecessary in my opinion

I don't see it would get me any more work as i have built up my own reputation by doing good work not at extortionate prices

No group i can join would be able to do that for me

Was thinking of doing their courses, as you get certifications. Pay for the yearly membership, it is only 60. And you also get their signage on your van which i have uploaded below. 60 for marketing isn't bad, be helpful if anyone had any positive or negative feedback regarding their marketing reach.

Not one of my domestic customers have ever asked about my public liability insurance or even asked to see it so I don't know that it would make any bit of difference to a customer I'm sure they wouldn't know what mgwc was

If you really want that sticker, just email it to a signage guy on eBay and he'll make a sticker for your for a fiver.

The guild is pointless in my opinion it's owned by Lee Burbidge from The window cleaning magazine.

It's no where near as widely recognised as the federation of window cleaners which offers a lot more.

I am a member of the Federation and none of these trade associations will bring you in work and as for just printing the sticker as Meridion has said that would be fraud.

If your mainly domestic trade association and other accredations won't help you gain work most customers won't even know what they are.

FSB should have sent you a sticker when you joined.

Phone them up and ask you to send some out.

All federations and trade associations do stickers.

was hoping that they actively marketed you, clearly not; especially after reading an entire thread in 2014 that ripped the guild apart.
