Rain

I will only stop if its monsoon but even then I try and not waste the time. I do my books on paper so normally take my folders in a local coffee shop or cafe and catch up on that and hammer facebook by and sell pages till it stops. I prefer it this way as works almost always done in working day and weekends and evenings are free for family.

Wfp can work in the rain all day , as it does not make a difference to the finish as long as the frames are kept clean. I've been on the pole for 12 years now and my customers don't bat an eyelid when it's raining ☔️. educate them your cleaning g with pure water and so is the rain pure , give them the rain test if not happy in 24 hrs free clean I bet you get no complaints

Yep as above. When I was trad id work in slight drizzle, but now wfp I crack on as I have no intention of window cleaning weekends /emoticons/smile.png

Also depends on your round.

If your flat out 5-6 days a week. Simply not cleaning in the rain doesn't work.

If you're part time. Then yeah great. It's "spitting" run for the van.

I do this never had a complaint, even when I was trad. My rule is if I can hear it in the car roof its too wet, I'll sit and wait for 30 mins, then take the long way home past any due work, if it stops then I'll carry on from there

@Adams0211 will tell you the sort of weather i will work in

He was stood watching with waterproofs on laughing at me working in a mosoon

If it's gotta be done then it's gotta be done

well it ****** it down from about half 10 till 2 today, i went home then went back out leafletting when it stopped, but then i could because i had feck all to do anyway. The times when im busy i just work in it the best i can, pick and choose those that i know will be out if possible

Sometimes I do and sometimes I dont. It all depends on the customer.....some dont mind whilst others are totally opposed. If they arent in then I tend to get them done. I spent 2 hours today cleaning a Church Centre in pouring rain.....they didnt mind at all...just paid me and thanked me for coming. I managed to get off their flat roof just before the 55 mph winds kicked in!!

I personally have absolutely, completely, totally, utterly, wholly, definitely, certainly, positively and categorically have no problem working in the rain after all It's only a bit of water ;-) BUT from a customer point of view it can only seem a waste of time and money, I know it certainly would to me.

I have cleaned in the rain due to being caught out whilst cleaning but even though I know having tested rain water on numerous occasions that rain water won't affect the clean due to rain water generally being fairly pure, I just can't help but feeling guilty not to mention unprofessional if starting a clean while it's pis#### down.

I'm more than confident in explaining to my customers the "science" of cleaning WFP in the rain but each time I do I can't help but think that they're thinking I'm making that S##t up LOL.

It may be due to whilst I was building my round I hear many negative objections from my customers regarding previous cleaners and I would say that "he even used to clean if it was raining" is easily in the top five things the majority of customers don't appreciate or regard as very professional.

All that said I've only had I'd say three days in total this year when the rain has stopped me earning my daily wedge. This is just my opinion and fair play to you boys who work in all weathers but it's just not for me.

Can I just toss in the fact that say we are all on a 40 hour week worst case for me is perhaps 3-4 hours of rain during that time.
These threads seem to give the impression that it's leathering down all day everyday.
I live in Swansea, it rains 364 days of the year /emoticons/tongue.png

If you are rammed out with 40 plus hours a week of work i can see the need to work in everything, but if youve built in some leeway for these things (say you are on the glass generally 30 hours a then you can get away with 10 hours rain a week and still get everything done in theory. In reality whatver isnt done by the end of the week goes onto next monday, why worry just do what you can

If you haven't already downloaded app Dark Sky from play store. I just use free version. Upto date forecast of wind and precipitation. It's very good and minute by minute forecast.

Well i posted on this thread a few days ago i would only stop if it was monsoon like rain and here down on the south coast it is a monsoon this morning! Dont think ive seen rain like it before for so many hours! Nice and warm in the van with my drink though planning the 2017 diary /emoticons/smile.png

Managed a valeting job this morning. but just got home can't clean windows in this.

Looks like it was the wrong choice though as "seen as I'm not doing owt" (says r lass) I will be babysitting whilst she goes to do her hair.

Non stop rain here, supposed to ease off at 7:00 tomorrow morning. Currently trying to hang an 18kg mirror on the dog leg of the stairs . Then I've got to rig up an electric double socket next to my RO. I had a quote of £200+ for the socket to be fitted by a sparks so if I manage it I'll not have lost a day's pay

Quote: "Why do I need bother with you, mate? The rain's doing the job for me, and it's saving me a tenner!"
They would be told to jog on lol

I decide when it is too wet for me not the custy
