What is your canvassing script?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

i think i failed when it comes to knocking doors. from about 1000 i got ZERO. i dress smart and clean my teeth, i dont smell and i have the right script like i have seen above. but no ones interested. the same with flyers, i must of dished out over 10k of them in my 5-6 years of cleaning and never landed one from a flyer. i always ask how they got my number and most say a friend or facebook. google etc
Are sure ? 10k leaflets with no response, did u put the wrong number on?

Canvassing is hit and miss but I've never know results that poor.

I'm the opposite, hardly ever get walk ups or referal all my work is fb or leaflets

These "scripts" people bang on about are useless

I am good at canvassing but only since i stopped trying to sweet talk people and persuade them with " hi I'm Dave blahblahyawnyawn" a few years ago and just knock the door, "morning/afternoon/alright sweetheart (delete as appropriate) do you need a window cleaner?"

What is the need for a script to ask that

Homeowner wants to know why you are knocking their door not your life story

@4Weekly time to revamp those fliers.
Maybe hire a canvasser if you really don't think it'll work for you?

Is the area you work in saturated with cleaners?
i hired a canvasser and he fleeced me, cant say any names encase he comes on here.

i was given some flyers by a cleaner i know, i dished a load out today and im going to follow up tomorrow morning when im in the area. my luck WILL change, tomorrow night i will come back saying i got at least 1 customer lol

If he did indeed fleece you it would be worth saying who to warn others.

I've had 4 canvassers and none were perfect but that's just how it goes with canvassing.

I've often thought about doing a bit of canvassing for others

Quite easy i find it

Too far for me..Stratford upon Avon

Stratford east london would be ok though

Hi there.
I clean your neighbors windows (point to some random house)

I see you dont seem to currently have a regular window cleaner...... would you like me to add you on to our rounds?
i tried that mate, turns out they are mates and she knows she aint got a clean lmao

Here's the thing.

It's very dependant on how you want to run your round.

I have cavassed for others and the issues are always the same.

'I only want 4 weekly no 8 weekly'

'I only collect cash no bank transfers'

'I aint letting anyone know when I'm coming, I'm gonna rock up whenever'

'I only want houses with yellow doors'

Ok the last is a bit of an exaggeration but you get the gist.

People say there is no 'right or wrong' way to build a successful round but I disagree.

Reason I disagree is I have found a hundred ways NOT to do it, but whilst finding those I have found a few that work seriously well.

A lot get into this game thinking 'yeah great, cash cash cash' and how they wont pay tax etc and well TBH I dont see them ever getting anywhere.

Then you have those that want to build a serious round for themselves, run it properl and have a much better life than working for someone else.

Lastly you have the empire builders, the guys that are truly hungry and want 12 vans out there and work dawn till well past dusk to get there.

These last two types I am happy to canvass for but not the ones looking to run it like a bucket bob set up.

If you're going to hire a canvasser then at least give them the tools to work with.

So just for fun, but, to perhaps help out those who may be nervous about knocking on doors...
What is everyone's opening words when knocking on a potential customers house?

I'll start [emoji4] (bare in mind this is untested and will be have a follow up video of me giving it a go on my other post... Cockers blog. Hopefully on Sunday evening)

*knock knock*

Hi I'm really sorry to bother you,

My names Tim.

I've been cleaning some of your neighbours Windows and I'll be coming back in a couple of weeks, would you like a price for your windows for next time?

(This is where they say yes and you give them the price or they say •••• off and you return later with dog poo wrapped in newspaper put it on their doorstep and light it.... Knock on and run away... Leaving them to stamp out the flames in their slippers.... Their dog poo smelling slippers)[emoji41]

What is everyone's chosen opener?
