Leaflet marketing for window cleaners

Been there myself starting out and quoting jobs at £8 that these days I wouldn't consider for less than £14-£18.

That's why I say it is imperative to have the tag line at the bottom 'Prices does not include conservatories or extensions'

Also why I say it is essential to use the 'Yes Please' ONLY as an introduction and not clean till you spoke to the person.

I have spotted my cards with 'Yes Please' in windows and called back many times and not caught up with them only to see the card in the window time after time in passing, some I have never caught up with and to this day still not cleaned their windows.

mine has Prices does not include conservatories or extensions and one woman was kind to offer me £8 to make it £20 job which used 75L of water. now i have edited the yes flyers and put from £ ____ that way i can say it was just a front only quote. 9/10 they want to go ahead with a job. i got some good facebook jobs this past 2 weeks, but most the groups im on have strict rules that business posts only once a week or you get banned.

Not knocking you Green, if it works for you then good on you. To be fair there is no right or wrong way to gain work - whatever method does the trick

We are in agreement there @PJ Bullard , all I am saying is you seem to have 'poo pooed' the 'Yes Please' leaflet out of hand without even trying it however for everyone I know that has used it it has been super effective.

im happy with it so far. i think its awesome for those who lack confidence at knocking doors.

when you see the YES! in the window you walk to the door and you still have to say i noticed the yes in the window blah blah blah. after you have arranged the cleaning date you are buzzing and it does give confidence to knock on the off chance someone forgot to put it out.

anyway i just got 5k printed

I tried the yes leaflets. but when I went to re check I could never see any. but then I would get calls saying they've had them out for days and no one's been round. in the end I thought it a ball ache ro re check given that you have to drive really slow to spot them and you never know when they are going to put them out. same day, day after, week later etc so in the end I went back to normal ones.

I might give them another shot if my current campaign doesn't work as they seem to be working well for 4 weekly

i have on my flyer put this out tonight and tomorrow morning i will pop round and take your details. you also have to put the price as From:£xx or as i learnt yesterday some houses look like £12 and are in reality £18-25 but its money in my pocket.

its the only flyer i have had lots of interest from since being a window cleaner 5-6 years. i printed them from my own printer and on my own paper too. so they ink i used and paper got paid right away from 2 cleans.

back out sunday afternoon to drop another 400 off, so monday morning i can book more in.

i do have other flyers that have prices quotes on them for windows, gutter, pressure washing etc but never really had a come back on those and i dished out 1000s. some people hate using the phone like older people. i got some customers who are hard of hearing and never use the phone. so they wait for services to go to them.

well thats true, part of the reason why canvassing works better than leaflets, lots of people cant be arsed or just dont like to pick up the phone and speak to someone, maybe its the way society is these days with email and text messaging people just arnt confident enough to phone. But when its put on a plate like these leaflets do people think thats easy just put it in my window and i dont have to speak to anyone.

i have had better results using this flyer over knocking. when you knock you put people on the spot and they cant think. its like a gun man aiming a gun at their head and they panic most the time. with these you give them time to think if they really need it doing. you are not forcing them to place it in the window the next day. so far im liking this way of gaining work. my facebook page has been getting active recently too from just posting it in for sale groups with FROM £10 month.

Maybe I'll give it a go Green, as reading what 4weekly is writing about it - there must be something to it. My earlier posts were just expressing what I thought on first hearing the idea, but like you say, you can't judge until you try it.

@Tuffers If you think that spelling is bad, there is a guy on here, can't remember his name, who literally cannot spell words.

but its not cold calling what we do. were not selling anything, were offering a service. BUT id never knock doors with those stickers.

i might ignore them, its normally oaps who have them though round my way. but my round is 60% over 55yr olds anyway. they seem to be the best customers and are always good on xmas with tips too.

I will give them another shot and see if u get a better response than last time. I think I've still got a 1000 kicking about somewhere
