What do you do out of work

Help Support WCF:

When I'm working i get more me time then when I'm finished! Once I finish its pick my boy up from school then if its dry its out with the family for a bit, then home and help the Mrs do tea, bath kids then spend at least an hour telling them to go to sleep. Then I'll watch some tele with the other half until she goes to bed before I play on the ps4 for an hour and go to sleep myself. I uses to love competition shooting in the army, did bisley a few times and just missed out on the army 100 and the last time I was there with the TA came 51st, so just missed out on the TA 50. Would love to do it again, but Mrs won't let me have a gun in the house with 2 young kids.

Forum, cooking, ironing, cleaning, drinking, netflixing.

Roadtrips and hiking with gf when she has days off. Crisscrossed all Ireland and now looking forward to go and visit Scotland next year.

p.s. dont worry if you see a green "window cleaner" van in your area - I am just hiking! /emoticons/smile.png

Most my spare time is taken up by the kids 3 girls 17- 16- 8 and 2 boys 4 & 4 mths plus two dogs so very busy when not working but love spending time with them other than that I kind off watch movies

I know what you mean.... When compared to others, I seem right boring!!!
I read a lot, do enjoy a nice drink, meet up with my mate and take his hunting dog out in the sticks. In London all the pubs aren't the sort you get friendly with people tbh.... like to visit my family who live in Wales and do a bit of hillwalking....

Now I've typed it, it seems even more dull then I thought, hahaha
I live in the countryside so allways out walking with my springer as he can walk for hours it's lovely to turn the phone off and get away from the drama of modern day life the world's not as bad as the news makes out

I think as long as people are happy, that's all that matters. Some people like an uneventful life. I wish mine was a bit less chaotic sometimes but it's not a bad life.

Zero! my first year has pretty much led to all hobbies falling by the way side. I'm ok with that for now.

Next year I'm hoping to get my knee sorted with yoga and stretches, get back into judo and some weights too.

Oh and find a missus!

Its quite interesting just how much common interest various peoples have.

I too like bunny thumping with my air rifles.

My Theoben Rapid 7 is actually worth more than when I bought it as they have gone outa business.

My Webley Axsor does the graft though.

On the dark winter nights it's gamer time. Love Assassins Creed. Playing my way through Syndicate right now.

My mate who is a windie has an interesting hobby, he's a taxidermist. Unusually instead of stuffing the animals with the usual method, he fills them with hydrogen gas.

Well, whatever floats your goat /emoticons/biggrin.png

I used to own a weihrauch hw66 (22 rimfire hunting rifle but at nearly a grand i sold it as i needed the cash..i do miss it though

My uncle used to play for Tranmere. He was signed by Ron Yeats but he (my uncle) was a centre half and Yeats was player manager at the time. Ben Seddon is my uncle.

I read, although not as much as I did. I run 4 or 5 times a week, go to gigs but my main interest these days is learning to play the guitar. I picked it up at 52 and have only been playing for 18 months. It's very challenging. Currently I am focusing on electric guitar and am working on Ponball Wizard and Since I've Been Loving You.

@daveyboy knows what I do but for those that don't, most of my time is taken up with the kids.
I've got three boys (11,7 & 8 months) and two girls. My eldest will be 14 tomorrow and the youngest will be 6 the day after.

My wife is a hairdresser so we fit our work around each other and the kids.

I'm also a carer for my dad who had a brain haemorrhage on Father's Day.

I always joke about only working til lunchtime but the real work starts when I get home what with the wife going out to work and me having to look after the kids and or my dad.

I try and do something socially most weekends and like a good drink. Normally we'll have friends round but we sometimes go to the pub or out for dinner with friends.

Other than that I'm a big football fan and am addicted to curry.

Sounds a bit boring really.
I've got 2 boys 3 1/2 yrs old and 18 months old, a dog who accompanies me to work everyday on the Windows (customers love to her more than myself I reckon). 2 cats as well.

My Mrs is also a Hairdresser and we fit everything around both our work as we are self employed so I know what you mean when you say the real day starts when you get back.

We are debating a 3rd kid (never say never and all that) but it must be tough with all those kids you've got and looking after your dad, fair play to you though and I'm sure it's very rewarding as I find the good moments far outweigh the bad ones.

I often get mates say especially this time of year 'home at 16:15 that ain't bad' ....[emoji33] No no no let me stop you there I say, my day starts at approx 6/6:30am and ends around 11pm if I'm

lucky lol.

But I've been my own boss for 17 yrs and I wouldn't have it any other way.

All the best to you and the others on here.

Cheers Dean
