It's ok I'll work for nothing!

Been out leafleting for work today. I've just started building my business so trying to price keenly as some work is better than nothing as it gets me out there where I can be seen.

The leaflet I use has a space at the bottom so I can write prices on for each property as I post them. Had a call from a bloke at a 4 bed detached new build. He reckons I wrote £8 to clean his windows and vac his gutters! When I told told him it was £25 for the gutters he said fine but don't do the windows. Just had a text from him cancelling as he reckons the window cleaner he's already got will clean the gutters for 'much less'. Good luck to him?

some people just ant worth bothering with , i was in town saw a shop keeper ive had my eye on his gutters for a few weeks now so said i can clean them out if u like (3 strory gutter) be £30 as my van was 2 minutes away and got a lot of shops in that road he said o thats expensive my other guy with the cheery picker van charges a lot less ,i said ok u beta use him then as i cant do it any cheaper he looked shocked i said that!i then walked off ,i spoke to mick today who is the cheery picker van guy i no him well i told him about it and asked how much he charged £45 /emoticons/biggrin.png . morel of the story is the guy is a *** and he **** out there cos of his greed trying to get the cheapest price lol now he has to pay £45 :rofl: im not fussed as got loads on any way but if i c a quick buck easy money ill grab it

The guy sounds like my dad, his window cleaner clears gutters for £10 a side 3 bedroom council house,

Met some window cleaners not long ago, they clean houses for £3-4, using backpacks on their backs.

Heh, what d'ya know? My friend has been back on saying he now wants me to do his gutters and he'll use me for his windows from now on as his current bloke 'is getting sloppy'

He's leaving me the money in a safe place so at least I'll get paid
