Another Clean Window

Oh what a week it's been, went to do a first clean at the start of the week and ended up with 5 houses all next door to each other, I can get them all without moving the van, all lovely people as well.

Then to top the week off I had a phone call from one job and an email from another today, both from some blocks of flats I priced about a month ago that I thought I'd lost, they both want me to have the contract.

Chuffed to bits

One of the blocks is not far from the 5 houses I picked up so after the first clean on the flats the houses can be done the same day. Should be a nice earner and home for 3 when its all running smoothly.

Anyone else had a good week?

Sorry to rain on your good vibes - congrats! Nothing like picking up good jobs to make you smile.

Cracking day today, turned up to do a quick gutter job - just upstairs and windows on front, easy £85. Bloke comes out, 'why don't you use the hot tap mate' wtf? This guys got an outside hot tap! Gutters were minging - he pops his head out again, do the porch gutters too if you have time I'll pay you double. 3 hours, free hot water and pays me £200 with tip! Also texts me this evening can I do his windows all round in 6 weeks, gave him a price £40, cracking he said can you put me on the rota! Chuffed - gets even better when he texts again, neighbours want doing too can you fit them both in for 6 weekly cleans and gutters in the spring!!! I must be on Santa's good list all of a sudden!! Think I will dust off the flyers tomorrow and see what else I can get round ther.

I cleaned a garage door that the hubby of the house tried with a pressure washer, charged £10 but enjoyed the challenge of the clean, flooded my van in the process as just installed ecotemp heater and turned it up to high, hose popped off, new learning curve. Had a shop front and sign to do this morning, 30 mins approx time to clean paid £30.

As for a good week it's a double edged sword.

The phone wont stop for big extras, roofs and gutters mostly and I am explaining to all on the phone I can do the quote but cant get them in before xmas. They are all sound with that so yes all good there.

Was on a big internal clean we do at the Manor (think Downton Abbey) all internal glass, light fixings and hard floors. Got stuck in yesterday when all of a sudden I get the sweats and vomiting (tried the calamari at dinner the night before whilst out for anniversary dinner)

Had to surrender spoke to the owner with my apologies and said had to go chemist and then bed. He told me not to dare apologise Be off with me, and not even consider being back until I was fighting fit.

Possibly one of the nicest clients we have.

Anyhow spent yesterday relegated to the couch and today light duties only. Going to do a couple of quotes and thats it.

Back to the Manor tomorrow.

But all over except for the uncontrollable elements I say still a good week.

Not related to the window cleaning side of the business, but I had an order for three 3D printed signs yesterday and more coming. That made me happy. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Last week I got a £45+tax job 8 weekly I can do in less than 30 minutes. And it is my first work week with my Gardiners extreme 47 so I am enjoying myself.

I also just got some bits and bobs from China so now I can build my trolley / two person setup.

One more week till Christmas! keep getting phone calls but not taking owt on till new year now. want to get done asap next week then chill out for a week or so.

I've cleaned a building on commission a while back, but they recently moved out. Went past it yesterday and the windows were very dirty so I though "why not" and went in to talk to the new people. If I get the quote on the intervals I recommended my yearly revenue for regular scheduled work will increase by more than 20%. It sounds like more that it is as I don't have that many of my own customers, but it's still a substantial increase for me which would make it far easier to pay off a loan on a van. /emoticons/biggrin.png

It was quite funny when they showed me around. "There's a window here, and two here, etc". And I felt I couldn't tell them "I know, I've cleaned it before".
