wHEN ASKING THEM TO FILL THERE DETAILS ON MY PHONE WHAT EXACTLY DO THEY PUT IN, 16 DIGIT NUMBER, AND THE 3 ON THE BACK.is that it, i dont think anyone would like to give you them personally.

When the payment goes into your account do you put there address or id on so it shows on your payment who its from.

Ive no idea yet me sen as im still waiting for the link to be added to my website but think my web guy is away....just trial it on your worse payers if you google gocardless window cleaning you will see how many firms are using it.

No Johnny, the bank account number (8 digits) and sort code.

Sorry but what you think of their reservations about giving you this info is wrong. More than 200 of my customers have proven those reservations dont exist.

It's strange there's a so many different breeds of people about I had one guy who wouldnt bank transfer me money recond it cost him doe?? Lol...my account number and sort code are threw people's doors all day every don't see what there problem is with it.idiots. thing is this guy rather send a cheque out so he's paying for a stamp

Greenpro, So your best getting the app on your phone and letting them fill there details in or can they do it at home if you send them a link to your acount,

Do you get an account & sort code like your bank

Do you put there account details in then there address as there I.D. to take payment from. As with some customers they have my account & s.code for them to transfer payment to me when requested.

So if i go cardless will you get a page of your customers adresses to scroll down to recognise them, then to deduct there payment from. Do you then just leave a message comfirming payment for window cleaning has been paid into my G C account.

Did some customers give you there details to add onto your G.C. account personally.

I think ill try it with details of one of my many bank accounts and see how i get on from there. if i deduct a small amount there will be miminal % taken out .

Johnny if you have a website u can add the link to payment page then the customer can fill in via that way job done.

I have used GoCardless since early 2014 and it has been faultless , It hasn't been an easy road to get as many custys signed up as possible in that time but getting your sign up page right I think makes all the difference mmwindowcleaning.co.uk/pay-your-bill.html
I have over a 170 custys signed up and overall this is currently the right balance for me and all new customers have to sign up to GC before the first clean commences and they have happily signed up without issue the only new enquiries that haven't signed up is I assume the ones that don't want a regular service so it has saved me getting messed about .

johnny bravo longterm the above is the best way froward customers are able to instantly see info that shows it is a safe and secure method plus they can do a bit of research via Google before signing up , I have double sided payment cards with key info on them and this has also helped in the sign up process .

Double sided payment cards , Get you, hhhaa hhaa. Yes ill get it sorted for to begin after the new year, Get something to explain. Most only know about paypal because of ebay etc. I have ustomers on paypal Freinds & Family, i done that when i first started to take online payments. Its ok untill they catch on they will then freeze the cash coming in pending untill you get a bussiness acc. ive gotten away with it for 3 years now. But it shouldnt be too long

If i get it on website also that will be great.

I do my own with google GBO. zola. Ill look around it.

It should be straight forward , Near enough all the info on my payment page is from GoCardless website and people have had no issue in signing up .

Iron giant, do GC give you a link to add it onto your web site. I do my own website through yola.com,, is it straight forward to do.

In all honesty I am not sure how easy it is , You will possibly be able to embed a link into your site but my web designer did mine for both times first in 2014 which gives you a GoCardless button which links through to their secure page and the second time after I had signed up to Cleaner Planner which gives you the reference box for the customer to add their address .

It would be worth while emailing GC support and maybe Yola.com as well to see if you can add links in .

I paid the pound from bank to them,still not verified.. tried calling them but think must be on holiday.

Anyone had this issue?

Took them nearly a month to sort mine mate. Had to call up and send them verification of my bank account in the end. Getting set up was slightly tricky but once it's done it's well worth it!

Only had a slight issue when changing bank accounts this took a few working days for the verification to process .

If anyone has issues with the verification IE the pound we send to gocardless; they can add to your gocardless dashboard a link where you upload a copy of yer bank statement.

It has to have your name and acc no and s/c on it. Most banks will print this off for zero

They didn't get back to me to confirm it had been verified but I charged a customer and it worked and they paid out so don't necessarilly expect confirmation.

Ps. Also I tried a payment from myself to see how the system worked and they froze my account and took weeks to resolve it - don't send anymore than £1 from yourself or they suspect you're laundering cash...£5 at a time....
