Hi everyone, hope you are all keeping well.

Was wondering what age bracket would the majority of your customers be for residential, and is it mostly women?

Hi Sam hope your well, what is the purpose of this demographic survey then?

Mines are probs highest in the 35 to 45 age bracket and more so female I'd say. Or that's usually the decision makers main profile, or who contacts me anyway.

Interestingly I just finished boosting my how to clean a window vid, and you get detailed information on the audience.

The females that took the time to watch it outweighed the males two to one, and the most populated age groups of watchers were even right across from 30 to 45 I think it was. This dipped right down after age 50,but then I'd guess fb audiences are generally more populated around middle age and those in 20s/teens.

Not that no one older has fb but every younger person I know has it..

Hey Chris, thanks very much for the message. I was just curious to read everyones responses. I like your video on cleaning the inside, defeats the purpose of having clean windows on the outside, and the paradox of having dirty on the inside. I would be looking to push this with my customers as well. Going to start building website soon. I have started tinkering with facebook business, I was surprised by how much range you are given to target specific people.

Aye that wee video got me 5 local houses, two of which are 2 x monthly..sixth house to be quoted tomorrow.

There is a lot of different functions yeah,I've just started a local campaign this time just promoting the business page itself.

Personally hate inside cleans cos of the planning to be there at set times, and sometimes things not being moved out the way as they were promised they would be. So quicker they learn to clean the insides the better haha

How come you are up so late? I have a tendency to stay up late as well, even when I have got up early.

Start back day after tomorrow m8. I've to tidy van out tomorrow and get new work boots, that is about it.

Sheets all updated for coming year today..so off we go!

Posted off maybe 100 letters yesterday and got that fb campaign ongoing just now,so I can focus on banging out the houses in Jan (until light hours increase) and less focus on direct door chapping until February maybe.

I did order that notepad thingy today; the one green has up in the resource section, for canvassing. The carbon copy one that will have my company name on it etc..from eBay for 7 quid.

So what's the company name gona be then and are you starting Jan or building site first?

No point in starting yet mate, as I can be sent away abroad at work at anytime in the next year. Was away 6 months last year, and it is usually short notice as well. Have 11 months left to go, I handed my notice in early December after I pulled the bonus first; you have to do a further one year before you can leave - very totalitarian like mentality :,,(.

I am thinking of Approved Exterior Cleaning, recommended by Green. I also have a few names I have come up with: Prowash Exterior Cleaning, Vitrify (Exterior Cleaning as a tagline) and just my name Gardiner Exterior Cleaning. I can see benefits in them all. I like Vitrify the most for originality, however it has no marketable qualities about it. My avatar has the first logo so far, I have a few other logos I have designed using Inkscape (it is a free program). You can download free vector images on various sites, vector means you can increase the resolution without it losing quality. There is another logo I have that I like better, as it is visually pleasing, however again it isn't highly marketable. The one in the avatar at the moment sells itself in many different ways.

I went through my bookmarks today, and the amount of bookmarks I have saved authored by you is insane haha. Letters is a great marketing strategy, it is more personal, especially when it comes from a local business and care has been taken in every word. Leaflets and business cards are generally scrap as soon as someone lifts the mail. A letter however, someone will generally leave it with their other letters, and when it is time for tea and biscuits, i.e relaxing time, they will give it far more attention.

Hope the business goes well this year mate. Judging by your facebook page, your customers love you /emoticons/biggrin.png

@sam86ni half of them are not on the round now as I'm closing it in geographically but all good customers yah. Turned down that one today I was to quote,I know what I'm looking for and there is enough work for me to do so just now. Awkward job and was on its own at least a mile from anything..doesn't seem much but I'm looking for speed here.

All those names you have chosen sound professional mate, and I'll need to look into the logo side of things yeah as don't actually have one myself. Had a rooftop silhouette when started but felt it was more roofer orientated.

Look forward to seeing you light it up with new business!
