A good pole

Any Gardiner's pole is a good choice depends on the height you are working at ground mounts a 10 foot will be fine , on most 2 storey houses I find anything from 35-50 foot is needed to do it from the ground , I have six and , ,extremes , in a variety of sizes and an ultimate for highest stuff , the extream 47 I found had so much whip in it that it hit the roof tiles/gutters on most houses Evan using a 10 inch goose neck . Haven't had any problems like this with the ultimate

I haven't had any experience of the super max , the extream 47 with a 10 inch goose neck I found did hit the roof tiles on most jobs due to the excessive flex in the pole , if you didn't use the top one or two sections it did reduce this but then the pole is to short to do the job , if the solar panels are all the way down the roof to gutter line you may be ok , don't know what the roof pitch is but may be it's peculiar to my area ?? Can you borrow one off a window cleaner near to you to try ? Before you buy one ?

I have the new 3k 50ft with extensions to 63ft. Very good pole super ridged. I mainly brought this for solar panel cleaning.

To be fare mine was the older style one with 3 point clamping maybe the latest ones are stiffer and less flexi , I use an extream 18 x3 most of the time on domestic and it's an excellent pole

@Alex Gardiner, maybe you could advise here??
The latest X3 Xtreme pole would be a good choice and light to use - however the SMAX 3K option would be more robust for being bashed about on gutters.

The best for solar panels would probably be the Ultimate as it is the strongest and most rigid.
