Morning all.

I boosted a post on my facebook page about 5 days ago. Cost £25, ive done this before but only really 3 or 4 quid at time.

Never really had much luck with calls or messages etc. Anyway let this ad run fir 3 days with the criteria set at men and women aged 25 - 65+. Search radius 2 miles from my location.

Only had 2 comments, and 6 likes.

So yesterday morning i changed the criteria of the search to women only, same distance, age range 28 - 54.

I have woken up today to check for any " activity " and low and behold.

86 new likes on my page

36 comments on boosted ad

44 messgages requesting quotes

Booked 3 deffos so far

2 x £15 monthly - £30 1st cleans

1 x £10 monthly - £25 1st clean

Only problem is even with a 2 mile search radius there is always messages asking for place's to be cleaned 5,6,7 miles away or where you never clean.

Bit like dropping a handful of rice on the floor that seems to be where the houses are spaced out, so need to pick, price and choose accordingly.

Just an idea for FB posters who boost their ads, try and change the search criteria and just see what happens.

Good luck.

@Damo i wouldnt of said it was anything out of the norm.

A picture of a dirty / clean window and description of where and what we do.

Im sure the pic gets the attention but its definitely the criteria in the filter that bags it.

I've signed up 7 today so far and the quotes just keep coming in.

I did the whole age thing this, gender that, gardening thing this. Never really had good results.

I am going to re look into FB maybe for more brand awareness i think. Happy with things as they are though.

Glad social media is working for you, as nowadays it's anything but social.

Your find that mostly its women who deal with window cleaners and stuff like that cause they don't like dirty windows lol guys ain't bothered to much... most of my customers are woman and there partners just pay the bill

It wasnt a thread to show off just to help others who may use facebook to promote themselves or buiseness.

Just a few things ive learnt which i thought id share to try and give back to the forum which has really helped me.

This isnt aimed at @adamangler by the way pal.

I have done it myself with very good results

The problem i have now is i have got so much work from Facebook that it is getting harder to find people who don't already know about me so no new blood so to speak

@daveyboy thats great. Like i said i tried fb before without luck. A few amendments seems to be working wonders.

Its just trying to tie people in to locations i dont clean in.

So either take the job and try and canvass their roads or areas and hope i pickup work.

Or blow it off

In my town i cover all areas and still never drive more than just over 3-4 miles to the furthest point each day

Me and @Adams0211 both have good success from facebook round here as no one else seems to push their services on it

It is just a case of telling the customer i can clean it tomorrow etc but you will have to wait an extra 2 weeks or a couple of days early etc for your next clean to be able to slot you in where is best for me for the future

I get loads of enquires of facebook, had 2 yesterday off a post, its conversions that i cnat get, no one wants to pay my prices lol

I suppose a lot off fb success depends on competition, i mean why would you pay 12 quid for your windows in there is 3-4 windys on there all advertising at 8 quid. one of those things i suppose.

I don't quote off facebook unless i know the road already but i tend to get the job once i have been round and seen them

Must be my london charm lol

Although it doesn't show the back of the house I look on google street view to get a rough idea. ie, access, 2 story or 3, parking etc. Just an idea lads

Sent using the Window Cleaning Forums mobile app
I use google earth for the that reason, plus the 3d imaging they use now give a half decent idea if what I'm gonna charge, however I never quote without seeing the house and going round it with potential custy, even if working next door. Its gives you time to suss them out, and build rapport

Im having the same results. Have around 10 quotes from fb past two days all £12 to £14 houses. Something in the water it seems however it has been sunny down here although rather cold.

On abit of a whim just spend £50 on a 7 day advert so will see how it goes.

Also got 2 emails from my website yesterday (my site is very new 1 month any never ever had any interest before) something seems to be working and im going to plug away and look forward to all those first cleans...

I only ever target women on facebook as they run the household. True. And never anybody under 28 as odds are they will not be on the property ladder yet.

Spudly

Still flooding in another 15 enquiries yesterday and 1 this morning.

Only booked 2 out of them though as tgey are to far out of my parameters.

So 15 and still £14 average, both fronts only.
