Facebook help

Join every group that is in the areas you want to work. This includes the 'Mummy groups' and 'buy/sell groups'. Then post in them everyday - each time with a few good pictures of your work/you working and include a price list (this is the bottom line and will get you messages). I scaned my first flyer and posted that for a while and had success. In the buy sell group posts, put the price at the min you work for - for me thats £12. No one wants to see 'Free' or £1 - that just makes you look cheap.

For my price list, I did it on Microsoft Word, put my logo at the top, printed it and then colour scanned it, and saved it to my computer. Then each time I post on fb, I put it up.

Speak to @Adams0211 - he knows a lot about facebook and I learnt from him

@No Mess With Jess I've had better luck with the paid advert from promoting my business locally. You know the option where ya can move the map to target a set area.

Tried a few methods and the above along with boosting a video status (interior window cleaning tutorial with info at top of areas I cover) seemed the best for me. My main fb work comes from woman from 30 to 60 so I targeted it to those people only..rather than dilute if too much

I've a few good conny roof cleaning pics I will boost in spring too, for more of that particular job; but will also add that I cover x y and z area on the advert...so get a bit variety from the advert.

Yes I did a paid advert for just a week. Reached lots of people, but no messages. I have just joined all groups in the towns I cover and going to post in them all tomorrow.

You need to post to all these groups every morning just after 9 when all the mums get back from the school run and the same every evening after dinner time

That way you get all the mums who are at home to see your post

Works for me that way

I've never bothered paying for a fb ad, although as you say Chris, it may be worth paying for some conny ads in the Spring, when the weather clears up a bit. God I cant wait for spring and being able to work without gloves and a hat.
@daveyboy agree with you, thats how I do it too. I'm always finding new groups too.

Every area/town has little sub areas/villages or communities and search for these places in the fb search bar. You'll be surprised how many pop up in the results. Also, if there is a focal point road which everyone knows in an area, search it and sometimes they have a fb page with say 80 or so members from the street. If you can get in and post just the once, you may pick up a couple dozen that dont have a windy. Or you'll find out they do have one without canvassing the road.

Go on your business page and click on copy link in the menu

Then go on your normal fb and click on the 3 lines symbol so then you can see the list of groups you are in

Go on 1 of the groups and write something eg:

Want a reliable window cleaner?

Frames and sills cleaned every time

Bushes will be pee'd in while you aren't looking etc

Then paste the link to your business page you copied

Then post

Before posting it it is wise to highlight and copy the whole lot including the link to then just paste in each group as you can't copy it once posted and would have to write the whole lot each time

Used it years ago was on everything daily never got 1 job off it waste of time it's full of dossers that want stuff for next to nothing not for me I don't have one bit of social media hate how people rely on it gob of on it ...if it works for you great but for me it's a pet hate when I here people talking about it lol
