which gloves should I buy?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Barrier cream may help the dry skin. If you are wfp builders gloves with bubbler for griping the pole are suggested screwfix do a decent pair that are cheep other windies trad usually buy a box of latex gloves and put fingerless wool gloves over the top. No point in going expensive as I find whatever you buy they soon get hammered.

I just use orange builders gloves, the ones with the grip £1.99 wicks. Mainly Ware them to keep hands clean as hose ends up covered in mud this time of year. Got about 6 pairs on the dashboard so always got a nice dry pair.

I use these and have done for the last couple of winters. Very good for wfp although I don't believe the bit about protection at -20. It's been nowhere near that today and my hands were cold.

I use poundshop ones. I had two pairs of sealskin they are ok for a bit but soon loose their waterproof and just wear out.

But half a dozen really cheap pairs and keep them in the van. Once they get wet I sling them in the bag with the used cloths and wash them.

I use the sealskinz ones but the ones that have a metal mesh sewn into them - nigh on bomb proof but only use them in the real depths of winter as they're too hot.

I don't use barrier cream but do use hand cream at night as that way it moisturises overnight & all good & fresh for the morning.[emoji16]

These were recommended on here by another forum member (sorry can't remember who) I have been using these for a good few weeks and are very good for the price I really can't complain.

Ive got those, cheaper in screwfix. Tgey get awfully heavy when wet and are bulky.

The new ones ive just bought from gardiners are awesome.

Not noticed them being heavy but for some reason my middle finger of the left glove got wet today tbh I though they were bulky at first approx the first hour but you get used to them like second natural now.

They are bulky gloves, decent but compared to others they are not great imo.

Ok if your clearing gutters etc

I didn't get on with the Gul gloves, they are wetsuit gloves so are designed to insulate when your hands are wet, mine seemed to make my hands colder and at the end of the day they smelt of sweaty feet! I use argon gloves now as recommended on here and also the waterproof Youngstown gloves someone else recommended. Both are still pretty useless at keeping your hands warm though!
