12 ppm help!

Hi I'm getting readings of 12 ppm.

Brand new unger resin

Brand new 40 inch ro

Brand new sediment filter

Brodex 650 ro machine.

Just can't get it to 0

Please someone help

Live in hard water area tap water 350 ppm

Whats the pure water tds reading after the r/o and before di?

For the future. Either add a second prefilter so it will be sediment then carbon block. The c/b filter removes chlorine. Chlorine damages membranes but Brodex don't know that.

Secondly; check that Brodex haven't accidentally forgotten to put a rubber O ring into the head of the di vessel where the riser tube pushes in.

Thirdly; I recommend Tulsion Mb115 resin.

Coming out 17 from ro and now 13 from resin

It's coming out 17 after it goes through the ro and then once it goes thru resin it's coming out 11 - 13

You may find the o ring in the di head is missing. Basically the riser tube needs to be a pull and twist action to take out of the head. If it just drops out there is your problem

I noticed the pipe at ends cracked would this affect it

Yes it will as you will have untreated mixing with treated. Trying putting some tape around it.

Do you know anywhere I can buy that middle bit from or do I need a whole new unit?

Just below the broken bit just cut it so it's round again and that will be you sorted

Doug you legend I put tape round it took a reading dead 0! I had to take another 4 readings after that just too make sure lol I've had so much grief with this machine and to see 0 I just screamed outside my house Yes yes! Thank you so much
