Just ordered pure freedom trolley. Anyone use one regular? Have I done the right thing?

Hello Sean .

I got given a knackered pure freedom trolley off a mate of mine , the frame was fine , rubbed it down repainted it with red Hammerite ( smooth) fitted a shurflo pump, 12 amp hr battery , remote controller , all new from E bay , 2 new wheels wide tyres , new hoses to connect everything up , just like new! works a treat .

I use mine both as a trolley with a 25 litre drum, and also left in the vehicle feeding out of 25 litre drums , I have a Belingo multi space , I carry 8 25 litre drums , I just transfer the feed pipe from one drum to another , I also have a V 3 Gardiners backpack that's comes in handy, with the odd walk through house , each system has its use for different jobs , use it like I do mate and you won't need van system !

All the best .

Glenn .

I never even thought of the weight aspect of it to be honest. Hope I can lift it.[emoji123]

If I can lift and pull the trolley around at 67 yrs ! You should have no problems bud , obviously lifting without the 25ltr drum onboard LOL .

Cheers Sean .

It's a well made trolley. A few on here have given advice.

Does any of you guys use a reel with a trolley, at the mo mine is connected with the hose, straight to trolley, finding it a pain, gets too tangled up, what do I need to make it better. Work from car no van.

I work with 25mtrs of Gardiner's green PU pole hose and hand coil it. 25mtrs of this hose is easy to carry in the hand. Once you have learned how to manage it, it's easy to handle. I also have a 15mtr length for when I don't need the longer one. It's crucial to lay the hose out full length before trying to coil it up as you need to roll it in your fingers whilst coiling it up and the hose won't behave unless you lay it out straight. It takes some practice but once mastered it's quick and easy and there's no need for a reel, unless of course you're using a longer length or are using microbore or similar

I had a van mount for 7 years then went to a pure freedom trolley. Best thing I did. I can park up where there is a space and not worry about trailing hoses or not having enough hose to reach.

If your taking your window cleaning seriously you need a van mounted system. Don't waste your money on trollies!! back packs!! barrels all a waste of time and money. Beg Steel or Borrow get into debt if you need to but get van mounted system.

Got one in each van aswell as tanks. They a must imo, makes life a lot easier and work quicker. I would recommend either wacking a remote on it or using a univalve too.

I have the trolley but just lately i have started leaving it in the car and have an extension which reaches most of my houses from the car .Then some off my houses they are front and back i just leave trolley out side the gate and it works for me just use the hose without the extension it works a treat .The trolley weighs 23 kilos and the 25litre drum weighs 25 kilos when full . So don't be put off with the trolleys they work a treat depending on your own personal work situation .
