Right took on a lad last Monday, hes working 3 days a week. Filled my 600 litre tank up and we used virtually all 600 litres by 4 o'clock, granted he's new and will be using more water than needed. My set up is one varistream and shurflow pump running 2 8mm hoses and poles with gardiner fan jets. My varistream is set at 7 which is a bit too low for a good fast rinse but carnt go any higher due to wasting so much water. Any ideas on how to save some water?

A bigger tank is the obvious answer. If this is not practical, what about getting a trolley or backpack, then you get yourself some 25L drums and fill up from them.

If he does the back of houses with these for a few hours, you'll have enough in your tank /emoticons/smile.png

Normally alone I would use 300 litres maybe but think it's cause he's new and he's using more. Also as I'm only using one pump when I'm doing something he will get the full power and be using more. The only answer i can think of would be 2 pumps 2 di vessels but don't wanna go down that route

I would use 300 litres buy dinner time on my own ! . our two man set ups use 800-1100 aday depending on the work load

one man set ups use 650 - 800 aday depending on the work

When I was working on my own I would use 500- 650 a day , with two of us we now use 800- 1000 per day so I don't think you are using to much to be honest

My suggestion would be to add another controller and pump. That way you can better relgulate the flow to each brush.

We once watched a setup with two cleaners and a single pump and I could see them using more water when to other

one cleaner switched his tap off.

Chances are you are also wasting water when he turns his tap off.

You can fit a di vessel after to and process pure water into your storage tank. That way you can do away with the di vessels on the van.

Fit a univalve bet being new most of his wastage will be trying to turn his water off or going from window to window turned on. And you need to run 2 pumps and controllers because you are BOTH wasting water there for sure even if you think you are not.

Do the above but also if you are using Gardiner brushes get rid of their jets and replace with Clarkes 1mm welding tips they sell em on ebay.co.uk they fit straight into pre drilled holes on the brushes I have used them for around 8 years and do a full days work on my own with 400ltrs of water and nearly always have around 50ltrs or more left in the tank .

I DON'T USE A UNIVALVE

Just have pure in your van tank and pump directly to each brush.

Our setup is ro, di, ibc tank. Then transfer pure zero TDS to van tank. Tank, 2 pumps, hose reels and then brushes.

Yeah I probably used about 400 on my own maybe more thinking about it, I have my varistream on 6 when working alone and use fan jets, I've filled the tank up to the max so probably got 650 litres. Will see how we get on but my next step would be to get 2 pumps. It's only cause my pal has has the same set up and he rekons he don't use a full 650 tank a day with 2 men but I do like a fast rinse with a high pressure, think once my lads up too scratch he won't be using as much. I don't use univalves but use the gardiner tap valves so we don't waste much. Will see how we get on tho as it's a learning curve working with someone else.

don't worrie what your pals doing too many wfp guys don't rince as much as they should , this is from the horses mouth from a guy that brought it to the market back in the day I met him over 15 years ago at a cleaning show ,

he was telling me how they spent over a million getting it right and how it was all down to the rince
