Your figures are wrong pal, in my eyes anyway.

230 total customers

180 cleaned 2 x a month = 360

50 cleane 1 x a month = 50

Total cleans 410 a month

Total earnings £925

This works out £ 2.20 a clean not £4.

How's total earning 925? 525 one week 400 next when monthly. 400 next week when no monthly 300 next week when no monthly that's 1625 approx [emoji1303]

Hi @nico roche ...

Let's try to clear this up.

We got most of the info just the pricing to sort out.

Forget how many houses..... how many cleans do you do a month??

Example: You clean Mrs Smith once a month and Mrs Jones twice a month that's 3 cleans per month. So how many cleans in a month.

Next the money. How much do you have at the end of the month? Forget about this many this and that many that.... just how much? If all cleans have gone to plan and you've collected all your book what's the total amount of cash in your pocket?

With those two figures we can make a more accurate assessment of your rounds value.

Ok my apologies i thought you were saying totals for each round was £525 and £400.

If your earnings are £1625

Then yes its around £3.95 a clean, over approx 15 days work at around 27 cleans a day.

So by my math you do £1600 per month on 410 jobs at an average of £3.90 per house.

All in a note book, no real records so to speak.

First thing to do would be to drag it into the 21st century and up those prices to at least £10 per clean so you're going to lose half the customer base off the bat.

In my opinion I would say you would be lucky to get 2 X value on this round - £3200 if you're real lucky mate

I wouldnt pay that would you @Green Pro Clean Ltd

To cheap for to much graft. On the other hand as you say if it were 1600 a month from 200 cleans then that's a different story.

Who on earth would pay ten quid fr 5 windows in Accrington. Some very stuck up buggers on here [emoji23] 100 quid plus fr a five hour day fr a non skilled job is very very good

Its not about being stuck up mate. Its about valuing your time..

If your happy to knock out 27 jobs for £100 then excellent... i wouldnt be happy but thats just me.

Everyones different and expenses for people are also different too.

As @Green Pro Clean Ltd stated bring your prices up to a better standard, even a £5 gives you another 410 a month.

Would you rather earn £1600 for 400+ cleans

Or

£1600 for less than 200?

Its a no brainer imo.

Prob agree prices need increase not all are 4 quid. Two front windows three bk windows are only take ten mins and with them all together in a row I find it easy. Suppose everyone different I wouldn't let it go fr under 5k anyways as I paid 6 fr it 8 years ago.

A terraced should be around £5 a house these days anyways being done with wtp. There getting the windows and plastics done. I charge that and have no questions or quarrels with that price.

In Manchester I'd charge more tbh I'm just on the outskirts.

I'd put the price up and earn more. If you loose some at least your earning the same and cleaning less

@nico - nothing at alk to do with being stuck up mate. I'm about as down to earth as they come but I do live in 2017.

Your prices are seriously 1985. It has nothing to do with '2 front windows three back windows' you have to have a minimum price these days.

You have to consider advertising, fuel, vehicle costs, tool costs, taxes and so on.

@Damo did an article on here about pricing some time bck and had worked out for him it cost (I think) £6 and some change per house to clean.

£100 per day for 5 hours? For many that's plenty but also there are many around that due to pricing the round right do over £300 for a five hour day.

As for the £5 for a terrced house? Personally I would rather stay in bed. Terracesare the bane of my existence. And often are more sodding about than decent sized semi.

When you have all the row of terraces in a row and can do all the tops and then all the bottoms in one go and all the backs are easy access who wouldn't say no to easy money in no time. You need good compact work not one house here and one house down the rd that's hard work. Spend more time in the van than earning £££

In Manchester a few years back was the same as in Accrington now. Been window cleaning for 20 years and back when I started was charging £2.50 for an whole terraced house but could do 35 in a day. about 4 to 5 years ago I was still only charging £3.50 for the same customers

But last year hearing stories on here and off other window cleaners I started charging £5.00 for plain terraced houses and £6.00 for Bay window minimum. I lost 6 customers which after time have come back to me.

I still do my 120 average domestic customers per week for over double the money and it definitely beats working in an office for £200pw.

My advice to Nico Roche is if your happy with the price your getting keep it the same. But if you decide your time is more valuable put them up and if your customers appreciate the standard of clean you have set over the 8 years they'll keep hold of your services and the few who will drop out will most probably come back after time.

If you are selling up I wouldn't sell for less than 5 to 1 of your monthly (4 week) earnings and sell after you put up your prices
