A day of cheap window cleaning quotes

Had day off today whilst van is in the garage (yes again)

Anyway i emailed/rang 8 window cleaning companys this morning just out of boredom really in my area and a bit beyond, i was shocked that only one quoted me double figures for my 3 bed semi, i had prices from £5-£9 with one at £12

then i used this site which you fill in your house details and they email you a quote..£6.05! how do they do it ?

no wonder out of the 5 quotes i gave yesterday on fb only one bothered to reply lol

Anyone else ever assesed the local competition?

Yes loads of cheapo's round here I'm afraid it's going to get worse as the squeeze on Household incomes bites again.

Never know what my competitors charge. Not really sure I have any competitors as such. In London there is so much work that it's not uncommon to have several different window cleaners in any given road...

What were these sites that you entered your details & they punch out a price of £6.05?

If it's any consolation I've just done an online quote for the front of my terraced Victorian property.

6 sash windows (3 in a downstairs bay & 3 in 1st floor)

Monthly charge of £42.80.

I am SERIOUSLY undercharging [emoji3]

Window Cleaning Leeds mine came out at £6.05, then he emailed to see if i wanted it doing, told him hes too cheap and i dont trust him lol

It's completely misspriced and unrealistic.

£10 for my property is a VERY good price.

You can do about 5 of these in an hour.

so £42 for the property means you'd be earning £200+ per hour

That was a very reasonable price given the work and then she came out and told me not to bother coming back, "It's just too expensive if you're not going to dry them. Our last window cleaner did!". This would be the boy who vanished off the face of the earth months ago lol

I just did a first clean, £12 job. That was a very reasonable price given the work and then she came out and told me not to bother coming back, "It's just too expensive if you're not going to dry them. Our last window cleaner did!". This would be the boy who vanished off the face of the earth months ago lol

That kind if response pisses me off slightly because then you have to explain all the information about wfps, pure water ect ect

That's why I have decided to properly explain what pure water window cleaning actually is on my site. Then the next time they say something silly like that i can say go on my site and read all about it.

As for your first clean price - its too low unless it was a one bed flat or bungalow and the sills and frames were in good nick.

That depends Mr Bullard i sometimes quote a first clean price..sometimes i don't

Depends on how i read the customer..what the job is..frequency..what it can lead to etc..but yes normally you should be charging extra for a first clean

Aye, that was just to be the standard monthly price. When I canvassed the old boy there he near leapt at me when I said I was a windy so assumed (i know I know) it was to be a regular. She was a fair bit younger so reckon either a good digger or daughter

Constantly but I proce my work my way and. Work for Wat I'm happy for. Some people be happy getting 20 a hour some people know they can achieve more
