Just wondering what the opinion on here is of Ionic equipment? I'm looking at one their cheaper poles/brush just wondering if its worth the steep price tag as not heard much on here about them.

I had a really cheap pole and thought a Grafter 32' would do until I had enough money for a full carbon fibre pole. The Grafter was an ok pole but I wish I would have saved my money and gone straight to a Gardiners SLX having now got one.

The grafter was a very good in between pole, clamps were good and the pole had a good outer finish to it. You can tell you had spent a little more money on it. I noticed a big difference in the rigidity of it although some awkward windows were still pretty hard.

Just had a look at the difference in price of Gardiners & Ionic's. Ionic's are slightly more expensive but not by much. I've not tried the CLX which is Gardiners entry level pole but there are a few guys on here which have so I'm sure they'll help you out.

Yeh probably going to go with a Gardiners or DIY pole, just thought the quality of Ionics might match the price tags, but for my needs a average/good pole

will be fine.

Ionics poles are solidly built and probably worth thinking about if you are going to hand it to some staff member who is likely to not take too much care of it, but if it's for yourself get a Gardiner, much better poles. /emoticons/smile.png IMHO
