2 person 1 reel set up

Hi everyone,

Would appreciate some advice on the following:

My wife is thinking of joining me on the windows for a couple of days a week ('don't do it!', I hear you say). She would do the ground floor windows whilst I do the second / third storey stuff (so much for equality ;-))

Anyway, before I go to the trouble and expense of fitting a second reel in the van - after all, we've never worked together before so it may be a short-lived venture - is it possible and / or advisable to run 2 poles from one hose reel?

I was thinking of using a 'Y' splitter - one end would be plugged into the microbore, and the other 2 ends would feed the poles.

Would this approach work, or would it put too much strain on the pump?

Any suggestions / advice appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Hiya Chris. Yes you could run off one hose via a y splitter but you would have to have your pump turned up.

Downside you would have to be working pretty close to each other and when one of you turns on/off your pole the other user would have reduced/increased flow.

As most would advise just for now why dont you purchase a backpack. At around 70 to 80 its not that much of a loss if it dont work out working together.

Couldnt work with our lass but good on you for giving it a try.

Hi CleanerWindows,

Thanks for taking the time to reply. The backpack is a great idea, I hadn't thought of that - definitely one to try. Even if it doesn't work with the missus, the backpack could come in handy for jobs where I don't want to trail a hose through someone's house or round a big property.

Thanks again,

Chris

What about this as a solution.Screenshot_20170224-184302.png

This can be adapted to suit WFP.

Built in reel will keep everything nice and tidy.

12v Battery variable pressure etc etc

Hey... back pack is much more a viable solution... cleaner windows aren't wrong with their answer but I bet they don't do it haha... I personally thing it's a nuts idea... try the back pack for a couple of weeks, if she's still alive then invest in reel [emoji6]
