Over the years I have had clients say, why do this? or you seem like a smart bloke etc etc.

Clearly putting our choice of professional at a much lower level. I hit back with listing my previous or other professions.

Army Officer

Police Officer

Foster Carer (Social Services)

Parish Council Chairman

So what other professions do we have between us?

I used to do jewellery and watch repair at a jewellers in Rotherham. Got sick of being there Monday - Saturday. It was my life. Terrible pay too!

It's actually pretty skilled being a modern window cleaner. You need electrical, plumbing, engineering & problem solving skills if you're gonna set up your own system in a van.

He might not have a list as long as that, however, he does have a very good claim to fame.

Ask him about the welding job he did on a very famous boat. /emoticons/smile.png

Baker, have my city and guilds in this. Interesting job, terrible hours.

Delivering and installing tv's and videos for rumberlows which people had rented. Good independence, but dangerous, walking around north Peckham estates with tv's and videos in your arms!

Window fitter. Again, good independence, however, your not completely self employed as the company are telling you where to go etc.

And now, the best visual technician in England /emoticons/wink.png

I left school, fell into an electrical apprenticeship, served my time, run a business with my bro, diversified into construction. Got fed up with the hours we were pulling. You can earn a good weekly wage but you sure earn it the hard way doing 60+ hours and it's easy to mess up a price and be £££ out of pocket as there's so many variables.

That's why I love window cleaning, hardly anything to go wrong, much better hourly earnings.
