Use 36' sorbo cobra channel, was previously using a 24 inch sorbo channel. Takes a while to get use to the size and the rubber can be pricey but I try to be as economical with them as much as i can. Go through about 20/25 a year which cost me about 80 quid ish. I can't stress how much easier this has made my work. Been using it for about a year and half now and I get through the work in half the time. I do retail work so some big panes of glass and high work and it's amazing for it. Always keep smaller sizes handy in bucket for smaller windows but the swivel handle works a treat.

What handle do you use? I need to get some practice done with swivel handles, never used one as of yet.

This is the one, originally I was mixing and matching with different brands as didn't like the sorbo handle but went back it and it's great. I struggled with the swivel handle at first to be handle and fingers bit sore from gripping but it's fine now although I have the tension right up. I watched videos of guys with tension loose and lots of play on the handle but I couldn't get used to it. I do like the sorbo squeegees but there is no getting around the price. Last a lifetime though, so well made. I used unger for a long time (still use the large ninja washer) but got away from their squeegees a long time ago.

I got the bigger gear as it saves the back, have a tripod bucket on wheels stand too. Whatever makes the work easier and more efficient is good by me even if I have to pay a little extra. Gain in long term IMO.

Wise words, I'm hoping to get better at pole work so as I don't need to rely so much on my ladders. I'm relatively new to window cleaning so learning more everyday. I thought about going wfp but I really love traditional window cleaning, so can't see me changing over anytime soon. The exelerator its probably the best swivel handle on the planet, once I get a bit better on it I'm gonna attempt to try it on the 22 inch channel!

I have no idea where to even start with the swivel feature when I get my order, I have never even tried using swivel tools before. This is either going to be hilarious.... or.... horrifying haha

The swivel handle on the washing sleeves and squeegee are absolutely brilliant so getting into awkward places (eg interior of shop window when you are tight for space) & less taxing on the hand and wrist. Ground work is the way forward, I use ladders sometimes and i hate it. The swivel is an absolute gift for things once you get used to it and I see the benefit of it every day I use it. I've been doing trad so long now it's second nature but I looking to get into WFP alongside the trad and at the moment & i'm a bit out of my depth to be honest but I really want to make a go of it.

I thought about getting that unger hydro portable wfp system, just for some really tricky stuff that I can't trad properly. But learning swivel tools and getting better with the pole work may just be the answer I'm seeking. I do think it would be nice to greatly reduce the amount of time I spend up a ladder

Yeah you're absolutely right mate it's the way to go for trad. I'm seeking some advice on teh water fed thread and I sound absolutely clueless about it .... which I am lol. Can't believe I have only found this forum now, fantastic source of information it is and delighted to be on here.

Snap mate, even watching YouTube has helped me massively.... believe it or not, I never even considered pole cleaning upstairs windows. Then I seen the likes of polzn bladz and trad-man, doing more pole work than anything else. So that was me on the hunt for decent poles and tools. Up until recently I was happy with a 10" brass squeegee and and boab and 14" soaper. And had the cheek to call myself a window cleaner [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

In that case watch wagaa's vids (Christopher dawber)

He uses a heavily modified wagtail on a pole with a diy detailing tool attatched but between his vids and obviously polzn bladz vids with the excelerator on a pole you should be able to find a way that works for you
