Cheers guys as Peter said it is difficult to wfp in the areas I'm in. Only about 6 of my houses have difficult windows the rest are all straight forward.

With respect you haven't sold the method to them despite what others have said a letter handed to them explaining the method would help, trading downstairs won't help can never understand that it's just giving them a reason to question why you are wfp tops and using 2 methods this is the 21st Century wfp has been around a long time if Customers don't embrace this method by now and accept that it's by far the best if done properly and safe then you need to Fill.

It may be the 21st century but trad has worked for years and will for many more so if you want to save water and trad bottoms why not?

If you are choosing to wfp tops for the safety aspect then if you want to trad bottoms as that is safe then why wouldn't you..that is also showing the customer that both methods are equally effective when you walk away and leave a spotless job on all windows

When I went over to wfp from Trad I didn't last too long til I wfpoled everything it was adding a couple of hours to the day I can understand it for saving water though if you have no choice.

That's the thing..some guys are using cars with backpack and drums like i used to so water is precious

I am a weirdo who enjoys trad though and am very quick at it with no detailing so it doesn't add anything to my day if i feel in the mood to trad some bottoms

On maintenance cleans i can keep up with my mate while he wfps tops as i tried it for a laugh when i met up with him for a natter

42 now and tradded since 16 so i am just a bit proficient at it lol

I don't see any issue of finishing big off with tradding the downstairs as it takes no time at all. However, use your pole right & no need too, I've had zero complaints yet. One customer asked about the droplets I said they would disappear & your windows are spot on if not give me a call & I'll shoot back & trad them..

I use my pole right lol

I am very good wfp or trad

I just enjoy trad more than wfp

Most of my work is now wfp only but i do get the trad gear out sometimes just because i want to

Virtually forgot where my squeegee is

enough, pub time!!

Have a good weekend lads, off to brick lane tomorrow, then white hart lane Sunday, cmon you lions!!!!

Brick lane....I'm just having a curry now but nothing up here compares to brick lane curry houses

Too right @daveyboy. Its a blinding drink up as well as there are loads of ubs and bars around there.

Handy for us lads as well as my mate Lou lives ten minutes up the road in Whitechapel so we will all kip round there.

Up in the morning, over to tower bridge where the weather spoons opens at 9, a good session, then off to white hart lane.

Whoops, just realised I'm hijacking a thread here, my apologies to whoever started it /emoticons/smile.png

The area is quite difficult for wfp. I'm in it to I think for sake of his lively hood he Might stick to trad and just be on his. A game
For the sake of his livelyhood ? You been WFP since almost day 1 Pete and it's done you no harm.

Do you mean for the sake of YOUR livelyhood. Prevent or hamper growth of competition in your area?

When I switched it was just shy of 500 customers.

A fair few grumbled.

I said 'dont pay me'

They all said 'what?'

I said 'look, the system works, just a fact, better for me and better for you. When I come next month and your're quite happy having seen them dry perfect just pay me double next time.'

I think if I recall correctly I lost 3 customers all told.

I'm spread out. Only a small amount of our work overlappes. And I know what way people are up here compared to the city

I have offered to show. @Philip technique

I know a few windies that are too nice and bend over backwards for their costumers , they simply got the WORST custys on the planet !!

I dont know why , but i think when they see a cleaner doing too much for them , the respect and all just goes away .. eaducate them , tell them , you are the tradesman , not them ! You wouldt dictate what tools a carpenter should use Either . It all comes down too the final result .
