Having to change my van due to mine being written off (as per my previous posts)...

Friend of mine has offered me his 07 transit with 73k on the clock for a very good price indeed!

Going to have a look at it some time soon, anyone know what to look for or if they have weaknesses?

He'll be dead honest with me anyway, but just wondered what everyone thinks of them??

It's the SWB low roof (think it's the T280, not sure)...

i have a transit connect and find it a great little van all round . before i bought mine i googled ford transit forum and got loads of info on there

Transits are good vans... But transits seem to rust much more then other vans... this isnt true but thats what i reckon.

Overall their good vans and ford parts are much cheaper compared to other companys out their

This one isn't a connect, it's a full size transit.

Just wondered if they have any problems with the tdci engine or turbo or anything?

What other vans are you comparing against H
All vans lmao /emoticons/tongue.png I dont know why but transits seem to rust very quickly....

But transit connect is a much more smaller version comapred to the original transit.

Transits are very good vans but watch out when buying second hand... because most transits out their have been battered lol

yer you never really see a transit without rust on it!

dad had 2 and the wheel arches and back doors just seem to rust away,

Yep... personally i wouldnt like o buy a second hand transit unless its 3 years old

Tranny vans are brilliant. Ford used to suffer with rust problems but not for a decade now

Agreewith you there Iain the old trannys were poo but they have moved on a lot and are very good vans I would have one no probs

i own a 52 plate transit. The only thing u have to worry about is the fuel pump there is no telling when it will go it will just stop and fail to start it happened to me 8 hundred pound later its all good plus mine is the 100 bhp model so can shift lol.
