Tdi testing

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I guess you can get away with 5 but it kind of defeats the point calling it pure water window cleaning if you allow it to creep above 0 , but it's your choice on this matter!

I probably shouldn't but it's coming out of my RO filters at 6ppm at the moment and I'm out of resin so I've been using it at 6 and its been fine. In the past I've experimented with difference tds levels out of curiosity and I could just start to see spotting on the glass at 12ppm in a controlled test. Better to be 0 though so it doesn't add to any trace impurities left after cleaning and raise it to the point where its visible.

Wow this has been done many a time lol, and it's always causing dispute.

Do what you feel happy with, I use up to 5 on customers windows and 15 on my own, that's me personally and have had no complaints in the last couple of years using wfp.

Remember it's window cleaning not pure window cleaning unless you market your self as that

Also the scale of pure does go bellow what's on the TDS meter, but how far do you take things.

Whatever you are happy with

As window cleaning kid said it does go below 0ppm

I think it is ionics that do a ppb setup which means that 0ppm is not pure as you can then look at parts per billion

My water round here i have accidentally cleaned with 14ppm and had no issues and don't mind cleaning with anything up to 9ppm if i have to while waiting for resin etc but i still di it just to know it is 0 but won't change resin until about 5

My reading is 1.15 straight out tap. 0.11 after it goes through first vessel filling tank but 0.23 when it comes through second mini vessel before it goes to hose. Can't work out why. I changed resin in big vessel yesterday filled it about half way should it be fine ?

The resin in the second vessel is saturated by the sound of it

It will actually raise your ppm if it is fully spent

The big vessel will bring it down and the second smaller one is then ruining it

You should also fill the vessel completely

When I retire I will take the buzz light year approach, too infinity and beyond /emoticons/biggrin.png:D:D:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

ppm be dammed:puke:

Ahh the Weekly discussion on when to change Resin, I would have thought above zero there are varying opinions on what is acceptable so 0.00 to be on the safe side I would have thought.

Parts per billion starts soon, Poles. It`s like a sly boxing film franchice  Never ending:D

It's first time I've done it so wasn't [emoji817] percent sure. So I should put a bit more resin in big one and also change the little one? Do the readings seem ok to clean still?

It all depends on your water make up

I know for a fact i can clean with 14ppm with no issues although i keep it at 0

Some others on here like @spruce will see spots as low as 2ppm so you need to either try on your own windows to see what you can get away with or keep it at 0 ish to be sure you are ok

I have done a test on my own windows and I had spotting at 003 change now when it gets to 001
