As above, how much work does your website get you per month. I have talked to a few folk who have said there getting nothing through their sites. They said everything comes through word of mouth, van sign writing , leaflets, up selling other services once at a customers etc etc.

In the last few weeks it's creeping upto 1 or 2 enquiries every couple of days I'd say. Most of my work comes via fb business page pm but they may have well found the website first *widget on site goes to fb page.

Everyone's website contact will be different so don't base anything off that at all. All that matters is if you are willing to put the work in,to have it ranking high; then the rest will follow.

Not a great deal

2-3 a month, rarely windows, usually connys or gutters. Will depend on your area, im top 4 for windows but i rarely work on my site as im lazy. Nothing beats canvassing, fb comes next then leaflets which are also slow.

If you really want to do it properly you need to be using google analytics as then you can see where your traffic comes from, as like @Chris33 says they could be coming via facebook.

Website is my next thing to focus on along with email marketting and up selling.

Its no golden ticket but it does bring in work its biggest benefit for me is the 180 customers that have signed up to GoCardless through my site , But it's a go to place for customers old and new to see who i am and the services i offer along with my FB biz page .

Thanks for the feedback lads, I think a website in today's age is a must have for market presence and somewhere where folk can easily check you out and see what your offering! And as mentioned, if you put the work into your site it should pay off with more folk wanting quotes from you as the end result.

You wont do. Most cunstomers are ignorant.

I put on my slips "to pay via go cardless, please vist the prices page on our website www.thompsoncleaning.co.uk and follow the instructions"

I think it would be worth printing off a letter asking customers to sign up and putting this through with your payment slips, but dont just do it once do it evry time or every few months.

What im doing shortly is to get some double sided leaflets printed on 1 side it will say windows cleaned today and information regarding go cardless, on the other side will be my add on services. They will then get this every clean. It takes repeated prompting to drum it into them.

Firstly I have had a pay your bill page set up for around 3 years now with a GoCardless widget on their all new customers have to sign up to GC otherwise they don't get their windows cleaned .

As for longterm customers the push came when I switched bank accounts and those paying via bacs got a letter saying the old account was closed and their only option was to sign up to GC I outlined the benefits etc but baring in mind I had been putting double sided payment cards with GC on and how safe it was etc for 3 years and had very few longterm custys make the switch .

Nice website but why is their foreign writing and price plans for website building in $$

@Dan Paton I've not converted many existing ones but all new ones are going on it fine.

I'm rinsing old priced houses out gradually in lots of places and replacing with a min tariff of £10 now.

Adamangler that's got the makings of a good divi site but there's an awful lot of stuff that needs tweaking and tidying up. Most of all the payments page. That's not a criticism btw I'm sure it'll look great when it's done.

Theres loads to do mate, LOADS.

Whats up there now was done in one day for a few hours just getting the basic layout

I have another site that ranks which is my main site but visually isnt great, this one will take over that eventually.

I need to get motivated to get back on with it. I tend to start things and get bored lol

Here's one I built with divi. Quite a simple site but the guy who owns it is getting great conversions with it.
