How would you go about cleaning a fiberglass roof that continuously grows a layer of mould. Could you treat it with a Hypo solution? Would this damage the roof in any way?

Cheers

Personally i would chuck a 2% hypo mix on it..2 applications would do the job

The crud will still grow back as hypo is dead after an hour when it has broken down

Are you talking flat roof fibreglass (painted) or car port type ?

I did this flat roof the other day, it was still damp from morning dew and it took 15 minutes - no chemicals.

I've also recently done a fibreglass car port - someone had jet washed it last time and it's destroyed the matting, I rinsed it with car shampoo and was amazed at the amount of strands that washed off - it didn't come up that well but I explained that it should never have been jet washed in the first place as it's now furry!
