Good morning guys, last night I have put my advertising in gountree and this morning this company called me saying that they can make my web site for free and put it on Google for about 140 pounds every 2 weeks and he said these is no contract for the first 30 days, I said to him that I had to think about and he said that the will Be the only one in country Tyrone to have this site bla bla bla. I just put off the call, what do you think guys ? Have you even had a call like this ? Which is the best web site to advertising and to make my site ? Thank you

Hosting your own website for three years, including domain name and email, costs 127 pounds at the moment on go daddy, a slight variation on price depending on suffix you choose for your domain name. Use wordpress to build it, it is easy; all the information is online either through text or video. Other than that ridiculous price he is trying to charge you, it importantly means you have control over your website, you can make changes whenever you want, instead of having to wait for someone to do it for you.

I built my own website using Wordpress, easy once you know how.

Costs me £15 a year to host and domain is £3 a year I think.

@Stefano @Gav built mine and to good effect. As I'm sure he will say though, the hard work continues when you actually want to rank this site high on Google.

You may well have that company you mention build one for you,but will it rank automatically? Not necessarily.

In my area there was a local news story about window cleaners on page 1 under certain search terms. This story was a few years old,and despite there being lots of window cleaning websites a lot were not back linked effectively IE not added on business directories or with fb/instagram links on their website. Lots to this though that's just an example.

Initially I would advise to do some research into backlinking and also generally just ranking a website. This will allow you to make an informed choice as to whether gav makes you one or you do so through other mediums.

Dont mistake backlinking as the old school term though @Stefano those days of posting or adding your link everywhere and anywhere are gone and actually damaging in some circumstances. These days backlinking is a much more precise and decisive exercise.

Quality optimised content and other SEO are what gets you onto page 1 of Google. And with page 1 getting over 90% of all clicks that is where you MUST be to grow your business

I improved the SEO on my website by including a blog in it. I regularly write relevant things about cleaning. It gives me more traffic. If you think of doing the same I recommend you to write unique content. Never ever resort to copying others as this will be classed as duplicate content by search engines, and it will harm your ranking. I have learned a lot about SEO from reading tutorials on the Internet and watching Youtube videos. Of course it helps if you have time and interest.
