Used my pole today first time , went well . Even i was surprised how clean the windows were.

Impressed with pure water. I even managed to pick up a big high school and another residential today /emoticons/smile.png looks like my system is paying for its self already. Happy days

yeah was bloody heavy work /emoticons/smile.png . little disappointment my tds is now reading 001 after only 250/300 litres. is this normal?

yer it is normal if the system has been left without any water running, after a barrel it might go back down, people still use it upto 010ppm, if it goes up to hi, just let a few lts run off before you put it in ur barrels

my tds has risin too 003 only haf about 400 litres through my resin. how often do people change here resin?

i personaly change resin when it hits 002ppm, but thats just me. thisway if anyone does complain i know its not due to the water. but most use it up 010ppm.

could be poor resin. what brand are you using?

if you dont flush for a few minutes before putting it through resin this can cause resin not to last so long, leaving it standing without water going through it can also cause resin to go quicker too.

yes it has, but only when you turn the pump on, i find this isnt always long enough, so i built in 2 taps into my system so that i can shut off the water going to resin and then turn other tap on and let water run out from there longer to give a better flush.

other way to do it is to turn pump on, then when it finishes it flush, turn it off then back on again for it to flush again,

my pump is running all the time. are you saying it flushes when i first switch it in. if so for how long does it flush. . ypu have the same ro as me bud?

when the pump is first turned on it sounds a high pitch pumping noise then after about 10-20 seconds the tone drops to a deep one that sounds like its struggling.

the high pitch noise is the sound of the system flushing, you will notice that there is a lot of water coming out of the waste then after 10-20 seconds the waste water drops and a bit less is coming out.

yer i have the same one as you, had my own for over a year now, and before that when i worked with a guy he had the same one too! so have 3years of using this type of RO system

ok cool. i will buy a tap to turn off water too the resin for 1 minute before passing through the resin. does that sound about right?

yer thats about right,

hold up on that and i'll sort you out a diagram tomorrow and post it up for you on how i would do it.

whats you location?
