Hi,

Been looking at wfp systems and a van to get started. I see a lot of you are using a Citroen Berlingo. What size of tank have you in it and did you buy the system complete or did you make it up yourselves? I was looking at a Brodex system but its 500 litres and they say you need a a Despatch size van. Is 500 too big a tank or should I start smaller?

Cheers,

Steve

500lt tank will weight about upto 600kg on its own when full, and thats without any equipment.

my berlingo's payload is only 600kg! with 375lt tank in it and all equipment (2man set up) its 10kg short of it! so better keep an eye out for the weight limit!

i myself like to build everything myself, that way i know whats going on and when a problem happens i know what it is and how to sort it out. just depends if you know what you are doing to build your own etc. brought the van and all the equipment and only cost £2500!

hi mate just read your posting i think berlingo's are good van but i went for the kangoo they look identical . there are two models available with a payload of about 600kg and the one i have is a 2002 model and my payload is 850 kg its the none turbo 1.9 and i carry 2 x 250 lt 500 in total and it pulls faultless

i have a berilngo and its gutless 1.9 non turbo!!struggles like hell with ten bags of balast in it and thats with a new clutch ect.

I got a partner with a 350ltr tank on a busy day i will carry an extra 4x25ltr containers with me /emoticons/smile.png

my kangoo gives me 45 miles a gallon with 500lts on board and well over 50 without and i have well over 100,000 on the clock

not hdi its the non turbo 1.9d gutless and i strugle to get it up hills if theres any weight in the back couldnt go WFP in this van just wouldnt do it.but on the plus the fuel is sorted:)
