Is My Ladder Set Up Right And Is It On My Roof Rack Ok?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

thats fine mate just try not to have any over hang over the rear .

as 1 of 2 things can happen

1 ) some idiot walks past the back of the car and walks straight into the ladder ( yes it does happen )

2 ) some idiot in a bus or hgv gets up ya ass and hits ya ladder ( yes it does happen )

I would have them hanging rite over the front, as Gav said you get clowns who will hit them or walk into them and you are to blame, push them as far forward ad possible

Are the the Ramsay double a frame?

think so, definitely Ramsay. it is 5.8 metres when extended.

So don't have ladder on car going any further than the back of the car if it was coming up? You say I am to blame if someone walks into it, you mean they get my car reg and sue me, for how much?

The ladder on the window, cos I worry about it sliding away from the bottom, I heard as you walk up at the bottom try to shake and move the ladder to see if it's stable from the bottom before going any higher.

as above, but i would add that on that particular window theres no need to go up at an angle, just go up straight next to the window, you can still have the top-block halfway up the window height on the brickwork, and on 2/3 pane windows go up straight and rest the top block on the frames between the glass, a-frames are good and safe on corners, but better on flat if its available
