As you all know I'm getting ready to start up and slowly move over to window cleaning.

I know of a local windy to me who has told his customer that business has dropped so much that he can't do it anymore but he is certain it ain't his prices......

Just a little worried, however I get the feeling he is the type of person that did canvassing, got his route and never canvased again.

Has anyone else had a more than normal drop in work ??

Everyone has windows and most people like to have clean windows. If you do a good job and don't rip people off they will be customers for life

Yep I am finding that a lot of my customers are warming to me and actually thank me for doing such a good job

They also say see you in 4 weeks .

think about it.... i think 9/10 people have a window cleaner....

theirs a small portion of customers that dont like having a window cleaner.

if their was 10 more people starting up window cleaning tomorrow in my town... it wouldnt affect me... because theirs plenty of glass for everyone mate

just do a good job and be professional and u will do well /emoticons/smile.png

A business depends on what people put into it.

He could be living beyond his means, he could be slack at work and behind on work, he could have built a round at a time when his prices were good and never put them up when inflation etc is more, he could be unrealistic on the amount of expenses he has.

He could be full of rubbish and be putting you off.

I've dropped more customers in the last 2 years than been dropped myself.
