AND GET THIS ITS CHEAPER

I'm not understanding what dog earring is?

I have never heard of this being done before but if it cuts down on detailing then I'm up for trying it.

Can someone please explain to me how this is done?

A picture would be great thanks.

I use a dog eared squeegee and hard rubbers (Unger), and I reckon on one side per day. I have two main squeegees, one larger than the other, so that I can cut the rubbers down and use a second time. If you want a good edge you have to have a good rubber. someone I know went on one of these w/clng courses, and were told to change the rubber round at middle of the day.

Depends on the jobs. Stone mullions will s**g the rubber very quickly as will old flakey paint.

I have just done my expenses and I have a receipt for rubber blades from the windowcleaning supplies.com. 15 x 36 inch Unger hard, total cost including VAT and delivery, £37.68. Cut down to 12 inch lengths works out at 84p each. Not that much even if you used one a day.

Rugby, most people prefer soft blades. You seem to have a lot of experience so why do you use hard rubbers?
They last longer when dogearing in my opinion. When I have to change my rubber its not because theres a kink, chunck, slice out of it. Its becasue Ive burnt out the corners.

Ackroyd. I use both Unger hard and Pulex soft. the hard rubbers are for use with dog-eared squeegees, and the soft for 'normal' sqeegees, of which I have a few. What I didn't mention on my post is that they are the same price.
