window cleaners go through the right path of self employment, pay insurance, get all the gear, and i have a local druggy knocking on my road, missed my house because of my signed car outside! quoting 3-7 quid a house and he has gained 3 in the past 15 min.......dont people care who they let in the back and i know for a fact 1 clean he works got broken into while they were on holiday...go figure.

yer i know i hate that too! the more professional you look the less they would go with you compaired to a scruffy one thats only doing it for drink/drug money and they have the most work too!

There's one on one of my rounds and he is a known smack head he charges £7.50 carries a ladder with a rucksack full of rags a B&Q

Bucket and asks his customers for water .

He's got customers but how ???? He would rob you as look at ya but each to there own I say .

I hate this too, people dont care about their windies, I know from full fact they don't care how safe/unsafe etc you are!

They care about having their windows cleaned but now care how and who by!

Ive had to drop jobs because I cant get on the roof(above the living room) and ppl always say, well my last windy did it...well am not him, and its not safe!

i see them all day long its how its always been and they do have loads of houses,there work is sh1te,and they come and go as they please using the same cloth all day for cutting in.

guy round me has all the houses in my area he walks around all day everyday i have none round here had to drive out 4 miles to get my round built up cant gain a single house in my own area lol.

hi ya, the FMW looked in to this years a go i was a member then, there was lots of talk but nothing has come of it , we all no there are some scum bags out there just to get there beer tickets, but we have these in all walks of life thats why the tv is full of programs such as roge traders cowboy builders ect ect, if you are honest do a good job you will succeed and dont worry about the doleys there time is limited .........pete

It may be the perception of a lot of people that we humble windys are synonymous with being on the dole.

Some of my customers have actually said to me that it's good that I am willing to work to get 'a bit of extra money'! I love their reaction when I put them straight that I don't claim a penny.

4 miles is nothing!!!! I I can use 1 scrim and cloth all week... Rinse the cloth out when ever possible dogear your blade and yer sorted! dry your scrim on the heater in your van, when/if you have a break. Rinsing out a cloth takes time.... if you do it properly, I have found it easyer/quicker to buy then out then pound shop and just use what I need.

how do you do that when you dont have a car?im talking about these smack rats that clean windows on foot all day with dirty cutting in cloths.4miles is far enough to go since getting houses at a good price is hard to do round ere.
