Wag Tail On A Pole

hi ya, i have seen some good reports on the wagtail does any one on here use one and how do you get on with it, i am interest in getting one as at the mo i use a visa versa on the end of a pole it is heavy and awkward, ......pete

Yeah i use one, infact i have a few, they are so much lighter than a visa versa, plus you can squeegee with it on the pole just like it was in your hand, just look up wagtail demos on you tube, so easy to use.

You want the one where the pad comes over the top, that way it's out the way when you close out.

I only use my wagtails for pole work, they are brilliant for this, i prefer my brass channel ettore for my hand held squeegee.

So in a nutshell, get one and i guarantee you will never use a visa versa again... Its that good

same here i use to use the vice versa but changed to the wagtail and find it great ,theres a guy called wagga who has loads of videos on youtube

I had an interior clean last week and had porch windows about 15ft high I used my Harris and wagtail was brilliant and easy enough to do

I bought my Waggy mainly for when I'm doing the inside of clothes-shop windows.It gets so hot in some of them window displays,I can now wash'n'wipe without the solution drying before squeegying.....And, I seem to be knocking less of the manakins over...there's not much room in some of them displays....well, not for a lump like me there isn't :huh: .

I think wagtails look less professional than the usual trad gear to be honest but being so light they are alot more ergo friendly on your wrists too. For higher pole work I find them ideal but will take alot of practice to get good results as the angle of the blade has to be just right for it to work properly.

Example of wagga using one over a conservatory. Note wagga has modified his pole wagtails so the pad flips over the top also using cable ties so the blade springs back horizontal to the pole. Also wagga has dogeared the channel so needs less detailing.

Since going wfp I mainly use wagtall's on interior cleans now but for trad guy's it is a safer option I guess than using ladders. Also you can do awkward windows as see in the two vids above with practice so got to be a no brainer in my book. /emoticons/wink.png

i have a wagtail (unknown make lol) and the pole screws on, will a harris pole screw onto it just fine? or do they all come in different sizes?

Looking at the vids you pull straight down. Could you not also do it with a vice-versa. Does it have to be a wagtail?
