why waste your money on a heater get a immerision heater gives you hot water and keeps the van warm £30 to buy £20 a year to use

you have to cut a hole in your tank to the right size of the immerision heater. then you have to wire a cable that is thick/safe enough over the distance you have to go from the socket to the immerision.

Immersion heaters are 3kW heaters that require ring main wiring. Ring main wiring gives the immersion heater the circuit capacity it requires. Immersion heaters don't shut off. The mains cable on an immersion heater has three wires: hot, neutral and ground. The connector cable runs from the immersion heater to a 20 amp double pole isolator switch with a neon red indicator light. It is important that heat resistance cable runs directly from the 20 amp switch to the immersion heater for safety purposes. Such cables have a code specified overheating safety cut out.

no as the heater doesnt need all this protection. it can just run off a extention lead.

best thing to mate is to fill up on the morning if your having trouble covering it all up cos i got no good protection /emoticons/smile.png but im going to fill up on the morning and that should do the job... and just wrap a towel around the pump and your laughing /emoticons/smile.png u can easily get away with it .... but make sure u fill up in the morning i no wfp guys who have worked in the ice and they got away with it... but when your hose is running water ... dont stop it with the tap cos then it will have a very good chance of freezzing... always keep the water flowing /emoticons/smile.png
