Another Website Post :)

[CNS-southwest]

Following some advice on here I am looking at changing over to word press.

My original site is www.cleannsimples.co.uk

My new one is: cnssouthwest.wordpress.com

The new one is not yet complete and will eventually have the .co.uk address.

Thoughts and ideas for the new one are welcome as always, feel free to compare the two and let me know which you prefer.

You should keep you cleannsimples domain and point it at your new website. Wordpress is a good platform to build a website. If you know a little about the web, get some hosting like just.com or 123reg.com transfer your domain name over to them and build your site with wordpress then you wont have the /wordpress.com.

If you own the domain name and can change the nameservers I can point you to a free hosting service if you want to save the pennies. Install wordpress through the back end of the host and then work on it. job done.

It's so much better! You should definitely set up a blog though. Also add seperate pages for each service and then add the pages to a drop down menu under Services. Did you try the cookies plugin yet?

Yep, site I built for someone about 4 yrs ago I put on this host last yr for him cos he wanted to save some cash and it's actually not bad. Good uptime, fair speeds, well good enough to host a small site on.

Yep. Not much more I can add to this without boring the pants off of everyone! WordPress is basically a content management system like Joomla or Drupal, allowing people to manage websites and blogs.

I already own the .co.uk address so wi point it to word press when I am happy, I wo t pay for hosting, it's just not needed

I've never ever had down time on a free host other than with moonfruit.

I was Gona make a seperate page for each product, just not sure what exactly I'm doing there lol

I can't be bothered to check myself lol, if you point your .co.uk to the wordpress one will it still say 'cleannsimples.wordpress or just cleannsimples.co.uk in the address bar

I know how it normally works so no'one point it out please lol.

It's annoying as I like the look of the monnfruit one, but its slow losing, has moon fruit at the top and is not seo friendly.

The word press one is growing on me, struggling to make it look more .... Professional. Mainly as I haven't had the time to concentrate on it lol

It's just a matter of finding the right template mate, 1000's of free ones out there.
